**Job Purpose:**
We are seeking individuals who can serve as a liaison between our Pearson Infrastructure and Operations (I&O) Site Reliabiity Engineering teams and the various business and product teams we support. In this role, you will become an expert in our products and services while maintaining close alignment with the customer’s business needs, processes, and future directions. The goal is to ensure the SRE teams are closely aligned with what’s important to our customers, reducing barriers and enabling success. This role will also be responsible for leading technology projects, ensuring effective delivery and execution, and providing end-to-end guidance from solution design and requirement notification to final customer acceptance. You will represent the I&O organization in interactions with internal customers and peer teams across multiple Pearson organizations.
**Responsibilities:**
Develop a deep knowledge of the business partner’s business unit and strategic visions/roadmaps to build positive relationships, both horizontally and vertically.
Think strategically by identifying opportunities to improve processes, interactions, and services, integrating business strategies and goals into I&O roadmaps.
Educate businesses about I&O services, processes, roles, and capabilities.
Coach business leaders and enable them to articulate their needs and requirements to advance business performance.
Leverage agile frameworks to plan, prioritize, and execute solutions.
Evaluate upcoming project initiatives and engage with the appropriate parties to facilitate success.
Create, manage, and report on the financial progress of the projects.
Use tools and technology to make data-driven decisions around projects and processes.
Create project plans and manage a matrix team of resources ensuring timely execution and delivery.
Review and negotiate internal and external customer requirements and recommend best practices for existing Pearson offerings.
Identify, document, negotiate, and manage scope change and costs within technology projects.
Determine project resource requirements and negotiate with stakeholders for resource commitments.
Interface with managers and other development groups to continuously improve product deployment and implementation processes and strategies.
Facilitate meetings and reviews with a high degree of professionalism, work ethic, and integrity, looking out for future roadblocks/issues.
Measure and communicate value realized with the business on a periodic basis.
Be aware of service-impacting incidents and communicate progress to both internal and external stakeholders.
Evangelize cloud operation best practices.
Be creative and innovative with regards to your knowledge and awareness of industry trends and digital advances as they relate to new opportunities and business needs.
**Experience:**
5+ years of experience in an enterprise environment.
5+ years of experience facilitating the development and implementation of business initiatives and projects, based on management goals and objectives.
A minimum of five (5) years of experience in technical project management.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
Agile certification is desired.
Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Certification is a plus; however, we will help you get there if you don’t have it.
Knowledge of cloud hosting practices and platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
Experience supporting customer-facing, high-volume, mission-critical applications strongly preferred.
Ability to understand, analyze, and communicate technical designs, project issues, and project status is required.

Skilled and experienced at breaking down silos, negotiating conflict, and problem-solving leading change using positive and collaborative methods.
Understand and influence integration of business strategies into technology.
Strong communication skills in writing, speaking, and presenting.
Some travel could be required (~10-25%).
