Senior Specialist, Product Experience Design

Title and Summary

Senior Specialist, Product Experience Design

As part of the Product Experience Design team, you will be working alongside Product Managers, Product Owners, UX researchers and wider stakeholders to create best-in-class experiences for our enterprise software products.

Role and Responsibilities:
•\tSelect and conduct appropriate user-centered design techniques throughout an iterative design process
•\tParticipate in design research activities
•\tImplement design decisions on initiatives, heavily influenced by research findings
•\tLeverage design best practices and patterns when feasible; proposing and codifying new patterns when appropriate
•\tProduce, test, and iterate on experience artifacts, including user flows, interaction models, prototypes, wireframes, low/high fidelity sketches, and design specifications
•\tStudy and adopt the design system to deliver digital product fully aligned with Mastercard’s design standards
•\tYou are confident enough to present your work to the team, product managers, and other senior stakeholders


The qualified candidate:
•\tExperience specializing in digital product design
•\tExperience in design research and usability
•\tExperience in UX design from concept to launch
•\tExperience with design thinking / human-centered design
•\tDemonstrated experience in leading and mentoring junior designers
•\tProven ability to translate vision and user feedback into actionable design
•\tAbility to follow a design system, a clean design aesthetic and the ability to simplify the complex
•\tHave a working understanding of web standards and best practice application including accessibility
•\tExperience of working with Designers, Product Managers, Developers, Subject Matter Experts, and Business Analysts
•\tAbility to approach complex problems in innovative ways
•\tEnergetic & friendly with an appetite to learn and educate
•\tExcellent communication skills
•\tCan work independently and manage your own time

Education:
•\tBachelor degree or equivalent combination of experience and formal education. Specialized training/experience in User Experience Design, User Interface Design, Human factors, Usability, or Information Design strongly preferred

Preferred Qualifications:
•\tProduct design experience in the payment, banking, or FinTech domains
•\tExperience in (and appreciation for) rapid prototyping and Lean UX
•\tPassion for working in a global, highly diverse, multicultural working environment
