Oracle has a large community of Solution Engineers across EMEA and the key areas of this job role are: 

Solution presentations & demonstrations Presenting proposals, business cases to Customers & Partners on Oracle products/solutions Preparing solution sizing, Carbon footprint Assessments, DB and systems Healthchecks Interacting with product management about features, enhancements, new releases, new functionality Helping to build Pipeline, Increase Opportunity Success Rate and help WIN Deals

 

The Team

The Global Presales Services (GPS) team is responsible for assisting the EMEA Field Presales teams through a wide array of services for Engineered systems and Cloud at Customer solutions. GPS team’s primary solution area is Oracle’s Database Machine “Exadata On premise” and “Exadata Cloud@Customer”. The team also covers Oracle’s engineered systems – PCA, ZDLRA, ODA etc. 

 

The Role

We are in search of individuals who are prepared to embrace the challenge of cultivating exceptional product knowledge, specifically related to the Oracle Database, Engineered Systems especially Exadata and Exadata Cloud@Customer. We seek candidates who can seamlessly merge this technical expertise with sound commercial judgment, articulate communication skills, and the capacity to excel in a global work model.

 

Required Technical Skills

A significant portion of your time will be used to stay up-to-date on Oracle database, Exadata and all engineered systems product releases & strategy. Deep experience with Oracle Database is a MUST; Exadata, ZDLRA, PCA, ODA familiarity will be a BIG PLUS Oracle database 23ai knowledge, Vector DB and “vector search” with Oracle DB 23ai familiarity would be a BIG PLUS. Hands-on experience using or managing various operating systems and/or virtualization technologies would be a plus. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure knowledge would be strongly desirable. Competitive awareness especially VMware knowledge or familiarity with AWS, AZURE, GCP, HP, IBM, SAP would be a strong advantage

 

Qualifications

A solid grasp of the IT market and emerging trends. A technical or IT-related education, preferably at the university degree level. Prior experience in a presales or solution engineering role is highly beneficial.

Exceptional communication skills; you are a natural storyteller! A willingness to engage and collaborate with diverse languages and cultures. A results-oriented mindset. The capability to work effectively in (virtual) teams. Self-motivated and proactive. Proficiency in English is required;
