As a Visa Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of a multi-functional development team inventing, designing, building, and testing software products that reach a truly global customer base. Role Overview
Lead a team of 5 to 7 engineers, ensuring effective teamwork and high-quality deliverables.Design and develop scalable and secure systems impacting 40% of the world population, aligning with Visa’s standards.Leverage innovative technologies to build the next generation of Payment Services, Real-Time Payments, and Buy Now Pay Later Technology.Collaborate cross-functionally to create best-in-class, robust, and scalable software solutions for diverse customer needs, including end-users, B2B, and B2G.Possess excellent communication skills to convey complex technical solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and effectively present to senior stakeholders, including SVPs.Engage in mentorship and continuous learning to impact global and local scales.
Core Responsibilities
Take a hands-on approach in developing software and meeting your sprint commitments, while leading the team to meet design specifications with a focus on security and quality.Drive agile methodologies, leading ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.Collaborate with product teams to refine and clarify requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.Work closely with architects to refine and optimize system designs for scalability and performance.Mentor and guide your team, fostering professional growth and ensuring alignment with project goals.Champion continuous improvement by seeking innovative ways to enhance existing systems and processes, going beyond business as usual to deliver improved efficiency and effectiveness.Exhibit a strong passion for Generative AI, actively exploring and integrating these technologies to drive innovation.
**We do not expect that any single candidate would fulfill all of these characteristics. For instance, we have awesome team members who are really focused on building scalable systems but didn’t work with payments technology or web applications before joining Visa.
