Senior Software Engineer - Salesforce

Overview:
Mastercard’s Marketing Technology Solutions team is looking for a skilled Senior Software Engineer – Salesforce to design, develop, and maintain solutions that support Mastercard's B2B marketing initiatives. This role is key in building the applications, workflows, and integrations that will enable advanced marketing capabilities across multiple channels.
As part of a small, collaborative team, you will work on innovative software solutions that directly support the company’s global marketing efforts. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with a strong background in Salesforce development, a passion for building scalable solutions, and a commitment to driving business impact through software.

Role:
•\tDesign, develop, and maintain Salesforce-based solutions to support Mastercard’s marketing ecosystem.
•\tWork closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, marketing, and analytics, to integrate Salesforce with other systems and tools.
•\tDevelop custom applications, Lightning components, and Apex code to meet business requirements and optimize marketing workflows.
•\tCollaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient software solutions.
•\tContinuously monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Salesforce applications to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability.
•\tMentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing, ensuring adherence to best practices in software development.
•\tContribute to the development of APIs and services to enable seamless integration between Salesforce and other enterprise systems.

All About You:
•\tProven experience in Salesforce development, including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce APIs.
•\tProficiency in Salesforce platform features such as Process Builder, Flow, and Apex triggers to develop custom workflows and automations.
•\tSolid understanding of web technologies and modern frameworks (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, RESTful APIs).
•\tExperience working with integration patterns, including Salesforce-to-Salesforce, middleware (e.g., MuleSoft), and RESTful API integrations.
•\tExperience in designing and building scalable, efficient, and reliable applications in Salesforce to meet the needs of global marketing initiatives.
•\tFamiliarity with agile development practices and tools (e.g., Jira, Git, CI/CD pipelines).
•\tFamiliarity with Agile development practices and tools.
•\tStrong problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality, maintainable code.
•\tStrong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
•\tBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.

Additional Skills:
•\tExperience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or other marketing automation tools is a plus.
•\tExperience in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and their integration with Salesforce.
•\tKnowledge of data governance, security best practices, and compliance considerations in Salesforce development.
