Overview
The Open Banking Platform Engineering team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help drive our developer experience strategy forward by consistently innovating and problem-solving. The ideal candidate is passionate about DevOps, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an engineering mindset.
Role
•\tParticipate in team prioritization discussions with Product/Business stakeholders
•\tEstimate and own delivery tasks (design, dev, test, deployment, configuration, documentation) to meet the business requirements
•\tAutomate build, operate, and run aspects of software
•\tDrive code/design/process trade-off discussions within their team when required
•\tReport status and manage risks within their primary application/service
•\tDrive integration of services focusing on customer journey and experience
•\tPerform demos/acceptance discussions in interacting with Product owners
•\tUnderstands operational and engineering experience, actively works to improve experience and metrics in ownership area
•\tDevelop complete understanding of end-to-end technical architecture and dependency systems
•\tDrive adoption of technology standards and opinionated frameworks, and review coding, test, and automation work of team members

All About You
The ideal candidate for this position should:
•\tIntermediate skill in software architecture
•\tAdvanced skill in automation and DevOps
•\tIntermediate skill in cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
•\tAdvanced skill in software development
•\tIntermediate skill in container-based software deployment practices
•\tIntermediate skill with Kubernetes or managed Kubernetes services
•\tExperience working in cross-functional and large projects with globally dispersed development resources
•\tHas the ability to write secure code in three or more languages (e.g., C, C+, C#, Java, JavaScript) and familiar with secure coding standards (e.g., OWASP, CWE, SEI CERT) and vulnerabilities
•\tIntermediate skill in global focused design
•\tIntermediate skills with innovation and thought leadership
•\tUnderstands internals of operating systems (Windows, Linux) to write interoperable and performant code
•\tUnderstands and implements standard branching (e.g., Gitflow) and peer review practices
