Senior Software Engineer

The Open Banking Analytics team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to drive our analytics products forward by consistently innovating and problem-solving. The ideal candidate is passionate about software optimization, intellectually curious, and a team player.

Role
In this position, you will:
•\tDevelop high quality, secure, scalable software solutions based on technical requirements
•\tPartner with Data Science and Product teams to identify business opportunities, solve problems, and deliver solutions.
•\tProgram, test, document, and maintain applications in adherence with MasterCard standards, processes, and best practices.
•\tContribute ideas and actively look for opportunities to enhance the team standards and improve efficiency.
•\tParticipate in on-call pager support rotation of our live services.

All About You
The ideal candidate for this position should:
•\tHave a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
•\tHave a knowledge and understanding of Software Engineering Concepts and Methodologies
•\tHave experience with python, or an eagerness to learn python
•\tAlways look for potential solutions to solve problems
•\tHave good exposure to programming in an object oriented language, SQL, git, REST APIs, unit testing, and documentation

Other desired qualities include:
•\tBe skilled at explaining technical problems succinctly and clearly\t
•\tAbility to work as a member of a geographically distributed project team
