Senior Service Reliability EngineerBusiness ContextThe Offer SRE team is responsible to deploy, run and maintain all applications within the Offer domain. This spans over a wide variety of applications, from availability processing, airline inventory, schedule and disruption handling, to revenue management and other products.Our role is to operate these applications end-to-end, including all aspects from deployment to incident response, and providing consultancy for the product DevOps teams.Your Main ResponsibilitiesAs a Service Reliability Engineer, you will work as part of an experienced global team to industrialize and manage our Amadeus services within agreed Service Level Agreements, while designing and implementing improvements to our workflows and tooling.
Common accountabilities:
- Has working experience and advanced and specialized technical/functional knowledge in own discipline. Understands how own area contributes to the business. Acts as a reference for colleagues with less experience and supports junior team members.
- Influences decisions related to own activity, anticipating dependencies and consequences in complex scenarios, contributes to transversal projects, proposes improvements to processes and is accountable for own and team commitments.
- Works independently within the scope of the team, with some guidance on most complex situations.
Specific accountabilities:
- Manage application operations for Amadeus Core Services end to end.
- Manage the full application stack (OS, Databases and Data Stores, Application, Links, vNW and the corresponding support functions according to the agreed service levels (internal &external)
- Service Automation.
- Change and Release Management: Manage and execute change, release and test processes and drive automation of these processes
• Capitalizes on functional and technical knowledge to lead the activity and perform at the highest level.
• Contributes to build an healthy and collaborative environment, leading by example
About the ideal candidate
Experience working as Systems Administrator/Software Engineer/DevOps, networking in a large environment
Knowlege of Python and Scripting in Python and/or Bash. Ansible is a plus.
Knowledge of release management process and tools like Git & OpenShift.
You possess strong communication, collaboration and coordination skills, excellent trouble shooting and performance tuning skills.
You possess excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
