Our strong scientific footing, combined with consumer and market insights from all over the world, results in transformational products that help to build brands and benefit consumers. Our extensive portfolio includes key Skin Care ingredients such as natural bioactives and peptides, as well as vitamins, UV filters and technical and performance ingredients like e.g. polymers. We complement this portfolio with our unique range of services including formulation expertise, quality assurance and regulatory support, etc. Our business is driven by global trends and consumer beauty insights. Our need for this position is to support the claims of our skin active ingredients and vitamins portfolio with a solid scientific rational and contribute to our unique competences for developing and launching new solutions. **Key Responsibilities** + Designs, plans and executes scientific concepts to defend and grow the skin actives and vitamins portfolio + Collaborates with marketing and sales teams to provide multiple level R&D support + leading R&D projects within the biology applied science group of Beauty and Care + Generates new scientific data packages for the claim substantiation of our product portfolio (skin actives, hair actives, vitamins) + Designs, coordinates and executes scientific studies of in vitro biology and in vivo efficacy to achieve aligned product claims Contribute to customized clinical studies + Represents R&D in multidisciplinary teams + Writes claim substantiation reports and publications, prepares presentations and participates at trade shows + Supporting the regional teams as R&D expert in customized projects and at customer visits + Interacts with global and regional business teams, provides scientific support and trainings + Answer to technical product related questions **You bring** + Master degree or Ph.D. in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or a related field + Experience and solid expertise in biological sciences with passion and creativity in scientific research + Several years of professional work experience in an industrial environment is preferred + Preferably experience in the skin actives and vitamins + Experience in the collaboration with marketing and sales with a keen interest to achieve business goals + Additional expertise in portfolio management or technical marketing or product management preferred + Strong team player with excellent communication and leadership skills + Ability to build up and maintain a network with internal and external expert centers + Good command of English, both spoken and written, German would be an asset **We bring** Working for DSM-Firmenich means the opportunity to really contribute to improve people’s lives and solving the challenges of today’s world.
