Job Description

Team Summary

The Visa Direct team is charged with leading the design, build, and commercialization of best-in-class flexible enterprise-wide FX, virtual accounts, and currency management solutions as we seek to meet the growing and increasingly diversified needs of clients moving funds around the world. In addition, Visa Direct includes the commercialization of Currencycloud, our recently acquired cloud-based embedded cross border money movement infrastructure solution and the integration of these capabilities into Visa platforms & solutions.  
Visa Direct is a key enabler of Visa’s seamless cross-border commerce. Historically, Visa Direct has delivered the systems, processes and capabilities to support foreign exchange services for our Issuer and Acquirer Clients around the world, and managed and executed settlement of consumer purchases in 28 currencies every day. As our network and our business expands, including with the introduction of Commercial and Money Movement Solutions (Visa B2B Connect, Visa Direct, and Visa Government Services) and use-cases involving global money movement, rapidly evolving consumer expectations with fintech, wallets and neobanks, new distribution models like open banking demanding API based multicurrency solutions, and new settlement models leveraging crypto beginning to enter mainstream, our capabilities are adapting to meet clients’ needs and support our vision for Visa to be the embedded cross border payments facilitator across a range of use cases – Purchase Flows, New Payment Flows, and Off-Visa Flows.

What a Senior Sales Development Representative does at Visa: 

 

Management and Leadership (approx. % of role breakdown – 25%)  

Lead by example with demand generation, prospecting techniques and opportunity creation - ensuring your SDR KPIs and targets are consistently met 

Monitor the SDR team lead distribution and pipeline to make sure all SDR KPIs are achieved 

Facilitate team meetings and training sessions to continuously improve performance and encourage shared learning 

Conduct quality monitoring to guarantee service level agreement (SLAs) and qualification criteria are being met 

Support regional SDRs and oversee SDR activity globally to facilitate the transfer of best practice 

Work closely with senior management to create, revise and deliver sales development initiatives 

Develop and refine reporting tools to monitor and analyse sales data and key insights to support the identification of process improvements and innovation 

Champion and oversee database integrity within our CRMs to certify data accuracy 

Support the SDR Leadership Team to recruit, onboard, train and coach team members 

 

Demand Generation Strategy (approx. % of role breakdown – 25%) 

Work with your Marketing Manager and Sales Consultants to support the creation of a demand gen strategy that meets regional targets 

Research prospects, target personas, and segment landscape to assist with lead scoring and account-based marketing 

Build prospect lists of who you will be targeting, using business development tools 

The strategy you build should be defined by clear KPIs and a ROI. Specific campaigns that are built and delivered as part of your strategy should have trackable metrics and align with your overall strategic objectives 

You will own data management for prospecting for your region and be a crucial part of the monthly meetings to review top of the funnel activity and how we are performing against targets 

 

Demand Generation Delivery (approx. % of role breakdown – 40%) 

Delivery of holistic demand generation activity, outbound and inbound lead generation 

Manage your prospect lists, data and build campaigns within lead gen tools (eg. Hubspot, Sales Navigator) to execute these campaigns 

Qualify inbound leads and create opportunities that are a good fit to be passed to Sales Consultants 

 

Segment Research (approx. % of role breakdown – 10%) 

You will endeavor to stay up to date on the industry and businesses within your segments and the wider team 

You will assist with any segment research into areas such as industry trends and latest developments that will assist with developing sales leads and identifying new segments/regions 

As segments and propositions become more clearly defined, you will assist in researching prospects in future segments for viability in terms of potential prospects i.e. TAM, SAM & SOM 

 

Why this is important to Visa 

This position will be the key link to support top of the funnel sales for a given region, working closely with the sales and marketing counterparts on a demand generation strategy that drives both inbound and outbound leads. 

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
-Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD) or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

3-5 years working in Sales, Business Development or 360 sales role 

Preferable, at least 2 years of experience in the SaaS/payments space  

Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment & thrive within it  

Delivered demand generation activities, meeting individual and team targets  

Delivered a segment strategy resulting in improvement in key team OKRs & KPIs  

Adhere to team processes and practices  

Have a positive winning mindset  

Native/fluent English language skills (additional fluency in French a plus) 

Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills  

 

What will also help: 

Understanding of different demand generation and sales techniques  

Used Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, Linkedin Sales Navigator and Hubspot
