Senior Sales Consultant - Planning

This role plays a significant part in the success of Oracle’s Retail Global Industry Unit (RGIU) across EMEA. As a vital member of the EMEA Sales Consulting team, you will be responsible for supporting business development and driving successful sales campaigns through your retail industry knowledge and Oracle solution expertise. Additionally, this role offers opportunities to contribute to cross-functional initiatives including Product Strategy, Marketing, Alliances, and Consulting.

 

Key Responsibilities

Act as a subject matter expert in retail planning, supply chain, AI/ML and analytics across all retail verticals, from grocery to luxury fashion. Present retail industry trends and best practices, while showcasing Oracle Planning, Supply Chain and AI/ML solutions to address key business challenges. Lead functional aspects of the sales process as a business and solution expert. Engage and influence senior stakeholders through compelling presentations, relationship building, demonstrations, and clear communication of Oracle’s value proposition. Provide detailed and persuasive responses to RFIs, RFPs, and needs analysis requests. Manage and run detailed discovery workshops with prospect to gain understanding of their business strategies and pain points. Manage large or complex sales opportunities requiring innovative and strategic solutions. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitors in the Retail Planning, Supply Chain and AI/ML market. Foster strong team collaboration, often in virtual environments, while actively sharing expertise within the organization. Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Partners to drive lead generation activities and facilitate growth within the EMEA region.  

Candidate Profile Experience & Skills:

Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in a relevant field. 5+ years of proven experience in planning, supply chain, analytics, or AI/ML solutions within the retail sector. Deep understanding of retail industry processes, especially in planning, supply chain and AI/ML. Multilingual with professional level English. Exceptional solution positioning and demonstration skills. Strong teamwork abilities and excellent communication skills. Experience in sales consulting or sales engineering, project management experience is a plus. Excellent time management and proactive leadership capabilities. Demonstrated ability to work globally across cultures and in virtual teams. Proven track record in building and maintaining both internal and external relationships. Strong personal drive with a passion for innovation and improvement.  

Travel & Territory Assignment

While your focus will typically be a subset of the full EMEA region, flexibility to support other territories as required is essential. Regular travel may be necessary based on engagement requirements.
