We are looking for a dynamic and experienced software developer with leadership capabilities and expertise in radio communication systems. This role offers an opportunity to take on technical responsibilities spanning systemization, design, and delivery. The successful candidate will drive complex solution investigations that intersect software, hardware, systems, integration, and production, while collaborating closely with designers across Ericsson. As the organization evolves, we are looking for someone who can be a change driver and actively shape new methods and ways of working.
About this opportunity
You’ll be part of a software cross-functional team, responsible for systems design, software development and test.You get to collaborate with hardware engineers and system architects to define software requirements and system architecture for radio systems.Develop and execute test plans to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability. Identify and resolve defects in a timely manner.Provide guidance and mentorship to junior software engineers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration within the team.Stay current with industry trends and technologies and contribute to the research and development of new software solutions and features; contribute to Innovation and Ericsson IPR, file Invention disclosures and Patents.You will be completing required documentation related to design and test work.
You will bring
Bachelor or Masters degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar discipline.Proficiency in programming languages and tools such as C/C++, Python, Java.Shell scripting Assembler, Git, Gerrit, Linux as a development environment.Kernel Experience in Software Object-Oriented Programming.5+ years of experience in software development for radio communication systems. Solid understanding of systemization, design, and verification processes.Leadership mindset, in line with Ericsson core values (professionalism, respect, and perseverance) and ready to step forward, take initiative, and drive technical topics.Creative thinking and a proactive attitude toward change and innovationExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.Knowledge of Security, DevOps and/or ML/AI would be an asset.

Your Pay
The salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

Sales Incentive Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for sales incentives as a part of Ericsson’s Sales Incentive Plan. Employees will receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of the Deluxe medical and dental plan coverages for themselves and eligible covered dependents.
Your Financial Security
We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. Ericsson’s Group Retirement & Savings Program offers an automatic 2% company contribution into the Pension Plan. Ericsson also offers a 50% match of employee’s contribution into the Registered Retirement Savings Plan, up to 8% of the employee’s contribution (maximum of 4% match). This leads to a total company contribution potential of 6%. Employees will also receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage, as well as short-term disability coverage. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson’s Stock Purchase Plan.
Your Time
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 18 days of accrued vacation, 3-5 personal days (depending on role), 10 holidays, 1 volunteer day, and unlimited sick days. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee’s start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
