The Senior Program Manager is responsible for leading and managing New Product Development (NPD) and/or Market Expansion projects, with a focus on assay development. This role has the objective to deliver projects, on time and within budget, that meet business objectives and customer needs. The position is part of the Program Management Office (PMO).

The role is expected to manage and effectively communicate with multiple internal stakeholders and work closely with core teams and cross-functional activities, who are based both domestically and globally.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Drive project management excellence through best practice methodologies, utilizing Danaher Business System (DBS) tools.Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements of IVD design control.Introduce and sustain tracking and reporting metrics that enable timely communication and meaningful interventions to keep projects teams on track with project deliverables/milestones.Execute the vision of long-term objectives and strategies for the targeting on time, on budget project delivery that meets business and customer needs.Communicate priorities balancing trade-offs between short-term and long-term aspirations. Proactively identify potential roadblocks and barriers to program success and propose solutions or work arounds.Maintain strong working partnerships with leadership team and resource managers.Facilitate capability-building, culture change, and process improvements within PMO and across the R&D organization.Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables from a customer perspective as well as organizational.

The essential requirements of the job include:  

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 8+ years of related work experience OR Master’s degree in a STEM field with 6+ years of related work experience OR Doctoral degree in a STEM field with 3 years of related work experience AND Prior experience leading technical projects with a defined scope and clear deliverables.Experience in medical diagnostics, life sciences, and/or pharmaceutical industries Minimum of five years of experience leading product development with deep understanding of the global regulatory landscape (FDA, IVDR,…etc.).A working knowledge of project management tools – e.g. Trello, Miro, JiraWorking knowledge of quality documentation management systems within a regulated branch.Strong knowledge of core project and program management skills (development gates, product design concepts, product requirements,………etc.

Travel Requirements:  

Ability to travel up to 20%

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Knowledge of the infectious diseases’ domain and their application in medical diagnostics.Strong leadership skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams.  Project management training and certificationsDanaher Business System (DBS) tools with Certified Practitioner status in VPM, PSP or DM.Experience in product life cycle management covering different stages and support activities
