The Shift-Based Software Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting software systems during assigned shifts. This role is part of a team providing 24/7 operational support, ensuring that critical systems remain functional and perform efficiently. The engineer will respond to incidents, implement fixes, and collaborate with other teams to ensure the reliability and availability of software services, troubleshoot and analyze intermediate to complex technical coding issues submitted by internal/cross-team or external customers. 

Basic skills:

Good knowledge on SQL & Database programming that includes below competencies – preference is M/S SQL Server (TSQL)  Database Design & Optimization: Designed and maintained complex database schemas, implemented indexing strategies, and optimized queries, resulting in increased system performance. T-SQL Expertise: Developed and optimized stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views to handle large and complex datasets. Performance Tuning: Utilized tools like SQL Server Profiler, Extended Events, and execution plans to troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, reducing query response times. Good understanding of ETL process and Data Warehouse concepts. Experience of working on MSBI tools - SSAS, SSRS, SSIS Reporting tools like SAP Business Objects- crystal reports, WEBI reports, Universe, BO administration
