Purpose and Objective:
SAP Labs, LLC seeks a Senior Product Specialist at our Palo Alto, CA location to analyze technology trends such as Energy Transition and process automation and customer requirements to identify growth opportunities.
Expectations and Tasks:
Drive the success, quality, cost management and delivery of a product in the whole product lifecycle as defined in the portfolio. Evaluate competitive products in general Supply Chain processes (such as Oil & Gas Up-, Mid- and Downstream processes) on basis of publicly available information to ensure the product is on-par or competitive in the current market. Conducts user research and participates in and organizes customer events. Ensures customer input into all product definitions. Proactively engages and provides input for product strategy discussions. Contributes to developing a product vision and a product roadmap. Prioritizes and describes product backlog which reflects customer and user needs. Enriches backlog and ensures that the scrum team and other relevant stakeholders have a comprehensive understanding. Ensures rollout plan. Contributes to a holistic product vision and product design and ensures all product teams have a comprehensive understanding of business and usability requirements of Oil & Gas end users. Develops test cases and/or conducts expert testing and validates planned and implemented scope throughout product lifecycle and ensures delivery of high - quality software. Accepts or rejects sprint results. Contributes to creation of product-related non-coded assets, such as rollout and knowledge transfer material. Creates and contributes to the delivery of a product to implement the solution strategy. Collects and incorporates early feedback from Customers and other relevant stakeholders. Remains cognizant of usable software being available at the end of every sprint.
Education and Occupational Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field of study and six (6) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:
Experience must involve two (2) years in the following:
+ Programming languages, including ABAP and Java;
+ Software Architecture;
+ Backlog Definition;
+ Agile or Scrum Methodology;
+ Requirements engineering, including gathering, specification, verification, and validation;
+ System Analysis and Design;
+ Quality Management and Testing; and
+ Oil & Gas (O&G) Industry Processes, including Main Up-, Mid-, or Downstream processes.

**Compensation Range Transparency:** The annual base salary range for this position is $178,110 - $180,576. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $178,110 - $205,200. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
