Senior Product Delivery Specialist (Chinese Bilingual)Purpose of the Role:
The Senior Product Delivery Specialist is crucial in assisting our customers with migrating to Amadeus solutions and enhancing their existing solutions on the Amadeus platform. Our customers include retail, business, and online travel agencies across the Asia Pacific region, including India.
This role requires a unique combination of skills to interface and coordinate with customers, commercial sales teams, architecture and solutions design teams, development teams, and implementation teams. The Delivery Senior Specialist may participate in pre-sales activities, such as customer workshops, to provide expertise and validate solution designs from a delivery perspective. They are responsible for the overall definition, planning, and execution of projects.
During project execution, the Delivery Senior Specialist will form a project team of relevant stakeholders and contributors, coordinating and driving activities between the project team, customer, and commercial account manager.
Throughout the project, the Delivery Senior Specialist ensures that all assigned delivery activities are planned and executed to completion, risks are identified and managed, technical issues are resolved, schedules and key milestones are maintained, scope changes are reviewed and approved as necessary, and all relevant stakeholders are appropriately involved in decisions and kept informed.
Projects may range from large and complex migrations from competing platforms lasting many months to smaller incremental projects lasting days or weeks.
Main Responsibilities:
- Delivery Management
Define project structure, including resources within relevant delivery domains; establish budget and baseline.
Proactively manage the ongoing pipeline and status of all deliverables according to customer commitments and expectations, including standard products, bespoke development, consulting, and other services.
Obtain committed delivery timescales internally, communicate accordingly to the customer, ensure adherence to the plan, and follow up on delivery dates.
Create, manage, and keep updated a dashboard per customer to provide accurate status of all deliverables, including risks and issues.
Provide a regular executive summary covering the risks/issues that need management attention.
Act as the prime point of escalation for all ongoing delivery issues.
Manage and maintain the project tracking and management tools, templates, and processes.
Provide regular KPIs about the delivery practice, including forecast vs. actual cost, and resource capacity availability and utilization.
- Solution Engineering
Collaborate with commercial and pre-sales teams to analyze customer systems and service requirements and propose appropriate Amadeus solutions.
Identify specific actions necessary to integrate Amadeus products/services.
Establish and manage the product/solution integration schedule.
Support sales activities through the presentation and documentation concerning product/solution integration.
- Project Team Management
Coordinate virtual project team members and set clear roles and responsibilities.
Hold team members accountable for their work within the project.
Ensure compliance with all defined processes and reporting standards.
Proactively monitor and manage project risks and issues, including mitigation plans.
Ensure project team members work effectively and efficiently throughout the project, with clear communication and alignment on project objectives.
Relevant Work Experience:
Proven experience in project/delivery management or equivalent in the travel industry
Strong business acumen and ability to create strategic customer relationships
Knowledge of IT and travel industry systems, with relevant consulting or project management experience
Proficiency in Chinese Language is mandatory for managing customers in the China market.
Advanced communication, negotiation, and conflict management skills, with a willingness to travel
Relevant degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or Travel & Tourism
