Senior Product Definition AnalystBusiness Environment

The CPE team (Car Product Evolution) is composed of individuals from diverse backgrounds responsible for enhancing Car APIs and functionalities on Distribution flows. The team is undergoing a reengineering project named Pandora, which aims to expose Car content through a brand-new offer/Order based REST/JSON API and completely redesign the application from OBE stack to cloud-native application/microservices. Other projects address our main customers' needs (e.g., Expedia, Priceline), new capabilities like CAR in Cart through Airline Digital solution, Connectivity with Udip/Single API, and Cloud migration of CAR components.

Our current CAR application successfully manages an average of ~3000 TPS for shopping and 15 million bookings a year - so the opportunity ahead is both technical and functional to support our tremendous business growth.


Main Responsibilities

You will be part of a Scrum team that recently delivered our brand-new offer/order-based REST/JSON API as the initial building blocks of our cloud-native application and is currently working to further develop and enhance this path towards a fully cloud-native application.

Decision Influence: Influences decisions related to their activities, anticipates dependencies and consequences in complex scenarios, contributes to transversal projects, proposes improvements to processes, and is accountable for their and the team's commitments.

Independent Work: Works independently within the plan set by the manager, with guidance on more complex situations.

Specific Accountabilities

Assess Requirements: Build, maintain, and share functional knowledge of our processes, services, and end-user products. Analyze business requirements and translate them into new product concepts or upgrades. Size specification and validation work. Support stakeholders in doing sufficient analysis to ensure requirements are ready to be worked on.

Functional Design: Write various technical documents such as feasibility studies and product specifications. Collaborate with relevant divisions and departments to ensure functional compatibility.

Validation: Contribute to the test strategy implementation, review test plans, and ensure compliance with delivered functionality and system integrity. Ensure traceability of tests with specifications. Ensure production integrity by investigating, validating, and prioritizing reported incidents.

Stakeholder Management: Communicate with Product Management, Project Management, Customer Services, Implementation, Migration, and Development teams. Interface with customers during various project phases.

Product Promotion: Support product feature definition, contribute to RFP/RFI processes, share content for product documentation, and give presentations and demos.

About the Ideal Candidate

Experience: Over 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst at Amadeus.

Technical Skills: Experience with REST/JSON APIs.

Mindset: Customer-first mindset.

Team Player: Experience working in Agile teams.
