YOUR DAY TO DAY:

·       Provides expert advice, guidance, and support during the design, implementation, and operational phases in support of DHL’s telecommunications infrastructure, including WAN and LAN Services.

·       Co-ordinates technical requirements information gathering from internal/external customers to implement cost-effective telecommunications solutions within required timescales

·       Project co-ordinates and implements tasks for business initiatives that require Global/Regional involvement

·       Solutions are implemented in a way that does not jeopardize the existing infrastructure and that all designs meet the requirements of the business. Pre and post implementation assessments need to be carried out to ensure that solutions operate effectively and can be supported

·       Supports 3rd level technical support for complex/business critical problems

·       Co-ordinates and leads the design, configuration and implementation changes for new and existing Telecom infrastructures to ensure the delivery of cost effective Telecom services to the business

·       Promotes and actively researches the Telecom market place, identifying technologies and products consistent with global standards that can provide commercial benefit to the organization

·       Responsible for the implementation of solutions that are scale able and supportable and aligned with global standards and industry best demonstrated practices

·       Responsible for the resolution of business-critical incidents by providing interim and permanent technical solutions that can be supported.

·       Resolves and diagnoses incident trends and network capacity to enable the correct capacity planning and capabilities of existing infrastructure, to meet business demand.

·       Responsible for recommending new Telecoms services and subsequent implementation in the Telecoms infrastructure, ensuring minimum disruption and impact to the business

·       Ensures implementation changes or network configurations follow the centralized change control process ensuring all changes are documented and can be supported.

·       Responsible for the co-ordination and installation of approved network additions, deletions and to ensure all changes are reflected in the configuration management database

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

·       IT related degree

·       Security: CISCO - CCNA, CCNP

·       Experience in a multi-national environment providing Telecoms solutions

·       Experience with working with telecom vendors
