Whatever your skills and experience, we’ll help you to thrive in our inclusive culture.Role Responsibilities:Qualifications and Experience RequiredMust be Post graduate, preferably MBA in Supply Chain and Operations.Good to have:Certification/diploma in Import and Export ManagementCertification/diploma in Data Analytic> 15 Years in the consumer goods industry with a manufacturing background or > 15 Years in the Consumer Goods sector.Experience of Managing Import and Export function for at least 5 yearsJob Description1. Strategic Planning and ExecutionDevelop and implement strategies to support business growth with agile, customer centric and efficient import & export operations.Optimize supply chain and logistics processes to reduce costs and improve delivery timelines.Monitor global trade trends and regulatory changes to stay ahead in the market.2. Compliance and Regulatory ManagementEnsure all import and export activities comply with international trade regulations, customs laws, FSSAI, India State Excise laws and company policies.Oversee documentation related to international shipments, including customs declarations, bills of lading, and import/export permits.Maintain relationships with customs authorities and ensure compliance with all local and international trade laws.Mitigate risks related to trade sanctions, tariffs, and other regulatory challenges.3. Supply Chain and Logistics ManagementCoordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery and minimize logistics costs.Oversee warehousing and inventory management to ensure optimal stock levels and product availability.Manage transportation routes and modes, optimizing for cost and time-efficiency.Identify opportunities for improvement in the supply chain and make recommendations for cost savings.4. Financial Management and Cost ControlManage budgets and financial forecasting for import/export operations.Control and reduce costs related to shipping, storage, and inventory.Partnering in negotiate of contracts with CHA and other third-party suppliers to obtain the best terms and pricing.5. Vendor and Supplier Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and third-party logistics providers.Negotiate favourable terms with suppliers and logistics providers to ensure cost efficiency and reliable service.Evaluate supplier performance and make improvements where necessary.Timely vendor payment.6. Team Leadership and Staff ManagementLead and manage the import/export team, including setting clear objectives, providing guidance, and conducting performance evaluations.Organize training programs to ensure the team is knowledgeable about regulatory updates, compliance practices, and operational processes.Foster a collaborative environment to ensure effective communication between departments, such as sales, finance, and logistics.7. Risk Management and Problem SolvingIdentify potential risks in the import and export process, such as disruptions in the supply chain, delays, or changes in regulations.Develop contingency plans to mitigate the impact of these risks on business operations.Resolve any issues related to damaged goods, shipping discrepancies, or customer complaints related to international orders.8. Customer and Client Relationship ManagementManage relationships with international customers and clients, ensuring timely and accurate shipments of goods.Collaborate with the sales team to align customer requirements with supply chain and logistical operations.Handle any complaints or disputes related to international shipments, ensuring high customer satisfaction.9. Data Analysis and ReportingMonitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to import and export operations (e.g., delivery timelines, costs, inventory levels).Prepare and present regular reports to senior management, providing insights into operational efficiency, cost-saving opportunities, and market trends.Use data-driven decision-making to optimize supply chain performance.10. Innovation and Continuous ImprovementStay beside of new technologies and industry trends that can improve import/export operations (e.g., automation tools, AI-driven logistics platforms).Recommend and implement process improvements, technological advancements, and innovations in the supply chain.Ensure that the company's import/export activities are aligned with the latest sustainability practices, including reducing the environmental impact of transportation and packaging.11. International Market ExpansionSupport market expansion efforts by analyzing new regions for trade opportunities.Identify potential international markets for product distribution and collaborate with sales and marketing teams to tap into those markets.Oversee the introduction of new products to international markets, managing the logistics and compliance requirements involved.Flexible Working Statement: Flexibility is key to our success.
