The Sr. Manager, Production, Sales & Inventory (PSI) is responsible for managing Sales and Operations Planning and Finished Goods Management for our largest Distribution Centers (DCs). The individual will be responsible for ensuring optimal inventory levels, efficient distribution, and seamless coordination between production and sales to meet customer demands. Additionally, this role will involve leveraging and enhancing Oracle systems to drive process improvements and efficiencies.
This position reports to the Global Director, Materials & Planning and is part of the Global Operations & Supply Chain organization in Indianapolis, Indiana and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
+ Lead the PSI process, including demand forecasting, supply planning, and inventory management. Develop and implement strategies to balance supply and demand, optimizing inventory levels and minimizing stockouts and excess inventory. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) including past due management, inventory management, and on-time delivery (OTD) to drive continuous improvements.
+ Oversee the management of finished goods inventory across multiple DCs. Ensure accurate and timely distribution of finished goods to meet customer orders and service level agreements.
+ Implement best practices for inventory control, including cycle counting, stock rotation, and shelf-life management. Work closely with the logistics team to optimize transportation and distribution efficiency.
+ Lead initiatives to enhance Oracle ERP systems to better support Delivery and Inventory management processes. Identify opportunities for system improvements and work with IT and other stakeholders to implement changes. Provide training and support to team members on Oracle system functionalities and enhancements. Ensure data integrity and accuracy within Oracle systems, facilitating better decision-making and reporting.
+ Utilize advanced data analytics tools and techniques to analyze demand patterns, forecast accuracy, and inventory performance. Prepare and present regular reports on inventory levels, service levels, and other key metrics to senior management. Identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and develop action plans to address them.
+ Collaborate with the Finance, Sales and Operations teams to develop and manage revenue forecasts from the operations side of the business. Ensure alignment between revenue forecasts and production plans to meet financial targets. Monitor and report on revenue performance, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions as needed.
+ Continuously evaluate and improve Delivery and Inventory management processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Implement and leverage technology solutions to automate and streamline processes.
The essential requirements of the job include:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
+ Proven experience in OTD, inventory management, and distribution center operations.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
+ Proficiency in using ERP systems, with specific experience in Oracle enhancements and modules.
+ Advanced skills in demand planning software and Excel.
+ Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Travel Requirements:
+ Ability to travel 15% both domestic and international.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
+ A Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., APICS, CPIM) is a plus.
+ Experience with the Danaher Business System (DBS) or similar process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean) is highly desirable.
