Job DescriptionTeam Summary
The Corporate Communications team in India and South Asia (INSA) is a strategic, high performing function with its primary role to advance and protect Visa’s reputation and drive growth in the markets we serve. The team reports to the Head of Corporate Communications, INSA, and further into Visa’s Asia Pacific and Global Corporate Communications function, that oversees all corporate communications at Visa Inc. including media relations, public affairs, employee communications, crisis and issues management.
The INSA Communications team is based out of Visa’s Corporate India office at Mumbai, India, with the responsibility to create and deliver communication programs to drive business growth and enhance Visa’s reputation across India and South Asia (INSA) markets, serving the cluster of markets comprising India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, the Maldives and Bhutan.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for
Developing integrated communication strategies and plans to support Visa’s business objectives aligned with Visa’s values, demonstrating Visa’s impact to economies, people and businesses.Reiterating Visa’s leadership and enhancing its positive equity and reputation across stakeholders through thought leadership programs. Creating opportunities for leaders to reinforce a positive profile in the industry through thought leadership forums, social media and industry platforms.Driving end to end campaign deliveries, flawless execution of communication plans and ensuring spokespeople are briefed to deliver key messages. Fostering relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers to ensure positive coverage.Issues and crisis management, as required. Sustaining CSR and social-impact programs appropriately through apt communication.Reinforcing Visa as a Great Place to Work, Volunteering at Visa as well as appropriate employee communications efforts to strengthen Visa’s inclusive impact across internal and external stakeholders.Content development across multiple forms of media (such as fact sheets, press releases, data-led stories, white papers, research reports, digital and social media, videos, etc).Engaging with diverse stakeholders through cross-functional collaboration including employees, partners, media and agencies, as required.Creating and managing communication plans and budgets.QualificationsBachelor or Master's degree in Business Communications/PR is preferable.12-15 years of Communications experience at an agency or client.Knowledge of the policy environment and payments ecosystem is desirable.Strategic thinking skills and an expertise in delivering communication projects and managing events, media announcements and interactions end-to-end.Excellent verbal communication, including interpersonal skills, writing, editing and presentation skills.Demonstrable experience of interacting, and building trust, with all levels of stakeholders, including senior level leaders, and internal and external partners, as a collaborative team playerExperience of engaging with media to secure proactive opportunities and manage incoming enquiries.Experience of using digital channels and social media strategies.Strong project management skills, with the ability to quickly transition from strategy to implementation, working on both simultaneously as needed.Creative, curious and agile with a proactive growth mindset and a bias for action and adaptabilityPassionate about technology, financial services, banking and/or retail industriesAdditional InformationVisa is an EEO Employer.
