This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape and promote our successful Genedata Biologics™ product. You will work in a strong, agile, international team with the focus on delivering software that makes a difference.

As a Front-End Developer, the focus is on building complex, data-driven user interfaces that support scientific workflows. This involves working with advanced React and Typescript logic to create dynamic, responsive, and highly interactive components. Translating intricate product requirements into clean, modular front-end architecture is key, ensuring optimization for performance and maintainability. You will collaborate with the backend team to define robust, type-safe API interactions using OpenAPI, ensuring seamless integration across the stack.

The position is based at our headquarters in Basel, Switzerland.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Design, implement, test and maintain the SPA frontendPlay an active role in our Scrum processDocument and communicate your work to your colleagues and other stakeholders

The essential requirements of the job include:

BSc, MSc, or Ph.D. in computer science, or comparable on-the-job experience

3+ years of relevant software development experience

Advanced knowledge of React with at least two years of experience of building React web applications

Experience with testing React code (e.g., React Testing library, Jest)

Advanced knowledge of JavaScript (ES2015+) and Typescript

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Strong focus on detail; familiarity with responsive web design and experience with UI libraries

Experience with these technologies and tools is a plus: node.js, ViteJS, ESLint, JSON, REST web services, openAPI, HATEOAS, Git, Bitbucket, Linux, Java, Jenkins

Experience with Test Driven Development and unit testing

Ability to write code following the DRY and S.O.L.I.D. principles

Good written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English
