As a Senior Financial Controller, you’ll be at the heart of Royal Canin’s financial backbone, ensuring robust consolidation and control processes across 98 units worldwide. This is a high-impact role within our Global Financial Controllership team, designed for a finance expert who thrives on accuracy, risk management, and continuous improvement.
What are we looking for?You have 10+ years' experience in finance and accounting, with a strong background in financial controllership and reporting (HFM, Essbase, SAP/Navision).
You hold a Master’s in Finance (or equivalent)
Experience in audit or change management is a plus.
You speak fluent english, french is a plus
You understand complex financial data and know how to make it simple.
You drive performance, ensure accountability, and thrive in a complex, global, and transforming environment.
You know how to align stakeholders, create engagement, and move the roadmap forward with clarity and conviction.
You’re humble and hands-on, comfortable challenging senior leaders, but also getting into journal entries when needed.
What will be your key responsibilities?Financial Control & Reporting
Lead the monthly and annual closing and consolidation processes for the Royal Canin Group (98 units).
Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting across all markets.
Act as the key link between RC units and Mars Inc for financial guidelines and US GAAP updates.
Partner with FP&A and other stakeholders to align reporting with business priorities.
Drive insightful analysis, structured balance sheet reviews, and reinforce financial integrity.
Risk Management & Compliance
Identify and mitigate financial risks in collaboration with business and finance partners.
Ensure compliance with the Mars Financial Manual and external regulations. Govern internal control processes in partnership with the G&C team.
Lead audit preparation and implement process improvements following audit recommendations.
Process Optimization & Digital Transformation
Continuously improve controlling processes and promote best practices. Support key transformation projects (new markets, ERP upgrades, digital finance).
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and financial excellence.
