Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly analytical, and strategic analyst to join our FP&A team at the International Rescue Committee. This role will provide FP&A support to IRC’s headquarter functions, as well as participate in various Corporate FP&A activities. The ideal candidate will have strong financial modeling skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, budgeting and forecast experience and excellent communication abilities.
Major Responsibilities:
+ Strategic Financial Modeling: Developing complex multi-year financial models for various strategic and operational scenarios, including revenue forecasting.
+ Organization-wide reporting and projections: Prepare financial reports, variance analyses, and presentations for senior leadership and board meetings with limited need for rework.
+ Financial Data Analysis: Analyze current and past financial data to support critical initiatives and financial management decision-making for organizational leadership.
+ Performance Analysis: Craft insights and continuously seek improvements in analysis to provide visibility into company performance and drivers of variances between budgeted and actual results.
+ Support Key Deliverables: Provide integral support on key team deliverables, including annual budgeting, 5-year operating and strategic planning, quarterly financial forecasts, and both internal and external business reporting.
+ Data and Systems Optimization: Identify and implement opportunities to use financial data and systems to enhance modeling and reporting capabilities.
+ Leadership Collaboration: Collaborate closely with global senior leaders, building trusted relationships, making recommendations that account for their needs, and influencing them to act.
+ Software and Systems Development: Support the continued development and implementation of software and systems (e.g., Power BI, Microsoft D365) that enable FP&A delivery.
Job Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; master’s degree preferred
+ Minimum 3-5 years demonstrated experience in budgeting/ financial analysis/scenario planning/ performance tracking
+ Extensive knowledge of and ability to build, maintain and adapt revenue and expense, three-statement financial and cash-flow forecasting models
+ Proactive and a self-starter, with an ability to manage key stakeholders
+ Highly motivated with a strong sense of accountability, initiative, and intellectual curiosity
+ Excellent communication, interpersonal, and diplomatic skills: the ability to effectively liaise with colleagues in a diverse multi-cultural environment
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and operate within tight deadlines
+ Advanced Excel skills associated with large volumes of data, data management, and reporting
+ Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power BI, and PowerPoint)
+ Hybrid working model
+ Some travel as needed (5%)

Compensation:Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
