We’re empowering smarter medical and economic decision-making to help transform the way people manage their health at all stages of life. Every day, more than 10 million tests are run on Abbott’s diagnostics instruments, providing lab results for millions of people. As the **Senior Financial Analyst** , you’ll responsible for global business support, providing in-depth financial analytics, support to key business partners, held lead the consolidation of Last Best Estimate (LBEs) and routine deliverables to Division, and provide assistance with other ad-hoc reports. This role supports the actuals and planning process globally, interacting with all commercial and functional areas and business leaders, helping to support consistent and meaningful financial reviews. **What You’ll Work On** + Supports the Sales consolidations and overall financial planning process; develops and submits well-prepared financial Plan and LBEs. + Effectively collaborates across the various functional and commercial areas to ensure alignment with Division and Corporate expectations. + Responsible for assuring Division and Corporate accounting and financial policies, procedures and practices are adhered to during operations. Support an effective system of internal financial controls. + Develop detailed financial forecasts incorporating historic, trended, and current business information. + Monitor functional and departmental spending versus budget by highlighting material variances using system generated detail and trend reports. + Prepare journal entries and assist in month end close as needed to ensure proper accounting at the functional and departmental level. + Prepare and distribute financial reports and packages by gathering and analyzing information related to current performance. + Prepare sensitivity analysis impact on revenue, expenses, and profitability by modeling changes in key variables (recommending appropriate course of action). **Required Qualifications** + Bachelors Degree in related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. + Minimum 4 years experience in financial planning and analysis. **Preferred Qualifications** + Diversified finance/accounting roles; excellent analytical, attention to details, problem solving skills and oral/written communication skills. Must be able to effectively manage workload to ensure deadlines are met. + Demonstrate the ability to complete assignments involving several levels of management and functional areas. + Excellent communication skills are essential, as this role interacts with multiple levels within the Transfusion Medicine organization. + Self-starter and highly motivated; ability to manage multiple priorities and changing customer demands. + Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment. + Strong PC/system skills and Excel. SAP/TM1 experience a plus.
