Senior Facilities Specialist

Job Overview

Working within the core facilities group, and reporting to the facilities manager, the senior facilities specialist must be motivated to maintain and improve site infrastructure for 24/7 operation. You will have the ability to trouble shoot equipment problems, maintain equipment to a high standard and manage maintenance activities including documentation and external contractors. The senior facilities specialist will support the broader facilities group in day-to-day maintenance and operation of a busy manufacturing campus.

Job Responsibilities Carry out and organize maintenance activities for the facilities equipment such as but not limited to AHUs, LPHW systems, CHW systems, DI water system, ensuring documentation is improved where necessary and is always in an audit ready state. Support and maintain the access control system. Ensure that site safety electrical requirements are met e.g. PAT testing/Thermal imaging/RCD testing. Support line moves particularly in relation to electrical requirements and contractor support. Provide electrical troubleshooting assistance where required, particularly in machine breakdown situations. Provide backup support for site DI water systems including maintenance and troubleshooting. Carry out electrical works if required. Carry out projects on all stages from initiation to closure. What your background should look like:

Qualifications

Qualified electrician. Preferably a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role.

Key Requirements

Experience of working on and troubleshooting plant equipment. Experience of working in a large manufacturing campus. Must be able to plan, organize, and execute concurrent tasks. Must be flexible and be willing to be on call as per rota. Must have good documentation skills and must be computer literate. Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills. Knowledge of ISO & FDA compliance.
