Job DescriptionPosition Summary
The Head of Consumer Payments, Greater China is responsible for leading the development of the cluster’s Consumer product strategy and leverage Visa’s digital assets and solutions to drive consumer and client preference, activation, usage and advocacy. You will manage the Credit, Debit and Pre-paid portfolios against key metrics such as revenue, transaction volume and value, and active account growth. You will lead a team that works closely with Global and regional product teams to develop the right products and value propositions for a range of priority segments in collaboration with Visa’s clients.
The role requires deep industry understanding of retail banking, unsecured lending, everyday banking, channel management and digital customer experience. You will combine your product management experience with strong awareness of trends in consumer payment preferences and technology usage, with the goal to develop payment experiences and solutions that increase customer engagement with the Visa product, drive usage and preference across credit, debit and prepaid products.
An important responsibility for this role is the development, refinement and execution of Visa’s affluent and cross border strategies that leverage Visa’s consumer solutions, data capabilities, and strategic relationships. This role has a clear mandate to drive the digitization, distribution and usage of these services to improve consumer take up, activation and usage of Visa consumer products.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable success at working effectively across matrixed organizations, has the ability to define and articulate Greater China’s product requirements, develop and champion changes to rules, policies and programs in order to align Visa client needs with those of the successful ongoing growth of the network.

QualificationsWhat you will need:
• 15+ years in related industry experience in credit card center, retail banking and/or strategic consultancy in financial services
• Experience in driving product strategy and Go-To-Market for new product or programs of scale
• Understanding of the drivers of retail bank product P&Ls and an understanding of trends in retail bank strategy around customer engagement. Life cycle management and multi-product penetration strategies.
• Exceptional leadership and influencing skills and business acumen – thinks strategically to influence and drive tactical execution
• Demonstrable people management skills of moderate to large teams, with a track record of people development and coaching.
• Strong demonstrated collaborator with the ability to effectively work cross-organizationally
• Ability to drive decisions and operate in ambiguity
• Ability to resolve conflicting situations
• Superior communication skills
• Advanced degree, such as an MBA, is strongly preferred
• An impressive record of digital products/services delivered from idea through to commercialization
• Ability to connect the dots between product, design, technology, and strategy to solve complex problems
• Track record for a proven ability to attract, hire and train top talent
