Job Title: Senior Developer 

Location: San Ramon, CA

Purpose and Objective:   

Callidus Software, Inc. seeks a Senior Developer at our San Ramon, CA location to be responsible for development focusing on design, coding, testing, quality assurance of complex product features in a development team.  

 

Expectations and Tasks:  

Provide application implementation services typically within boundaries of specifications and project plans. Design activities include requirements analysis and design documentation. Product implementation, testing, and integration. Maintenance activities include error analysis and removal. Extends, modifies or adapts existing designs. Practice of modern software engineering including agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, test automation, and CI/CD pipelines. Constantly improves own work methods to gain state-of-the-art agile software engineering skills. The Scrum Master is responsible for promoting and supporting Scrum by helping everyone understand Scrum theory, practices, rules, and values. Scrum Master is a 'servant-leader' for the Product Owner and the Development Team. Facilitates Scrum Events on request or as required. Coach the Development Team in self-organization. Removes impediments to the Development Team's progress.  

 

Education and Occupational Experience:  

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or a related field of study and six (6) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or a related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. 

 

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:  

Experience must involve three (3) years in the following:  

Enterprise level Web based applications based on Spring MVC, Design Patterns and ORM Frameworks, J2EE design patterns, including Factory, Façade, Singleton, Factory, Strategy and Service Locator; 

Design dynamic and browser compatible pages utilizing HTML5, CSS4 Preprocessor's (SASS/LESS), JavaScript, Bootstrap, and ReactJS main fundamentals Virtual DOM, components lifecycles and workflows Flux, Create React App and data structure libraries for building UI applications; 

Design and Implement client-side applications using security open standards OAuth2.0 and OpenID Connect; 

Create pipelines for deploying code from GitHub to Kubernetes (K8s) cluster in the form of Docker containers using Spinnaker platform; 

Maven and Gradle tools to configure and build the application project and continuous integration with Jenkins; 

Azure Postgres Database, Kubernetes Service, Azure CR and Virtual Networks; and 

Implement Java8 Streams, Lambda Functions, Predicates, Functional Interfaces, Method References, Filters, Collections and Default Methods.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $139,863 - $211,922. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $139,863 - $240,900. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
