Title and Summary
Senior Data ScientistOverview:We believe in power of data. We think creatively, design smart, simple to use, cost-effective solutions that empower our customer with actionable insights. The Global Pricing and Interchange team partners across regions and global business units to execute changes in economics aligned to product- and market-led strategy under a consistent strategic framework. The team leads the execution of initiatives whose complexity and scope require a global view and coordination. We advocate and drive revenue optimization, simplicity, enhanced customer and employee experience, and adherence to principles. The team identifies ways to leverage data for answering business questions and driving operational efficiency. We innovate using new age technologies and data analysis techniques to discover actionable insights and communicate data in new and more effective ways for influencing business decisions, encouraging long-term customer engagement, improving processes and productivity, and overall evolving the way we do business.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing data-driven innovative scalable analytical solutions and identifying opportunities to support Pricing and Interchange team in a quantitative manner and facilitate informed recommendations / decisions.
•\tActivities include performing simulations and creating predictive models, behavioral segmentation frameworks, profitability analyses, ad hoc reporting, and data visualizations.
•\tWork closely with global & regional pricing teams to architect, develop, and maintain advanced reporting and data visualization capabilities on large volumes of data to support analytics and reporting needs across products, markets, and services.
•\tContributes to the development of custom analyses and solutions, derives insights from extracted data to solve critical business questions.
•\tTranslates client/ stakeholder needs into technical analyses and/or solutions in collaboration with internal and external partners and presents findings and outcomes to clients/stakeholders.
•\tAccountable for delivering high quality project solutions and tools within agreed upon timelines and budget parameters and conducting post- implementation reviews.

•\tDemonstrated success when contributing accurate, technically innovative components for analytics/ product development projects.
•\tExperience managing day-to-day cross-functional communications and collaboration to meet project deadlines.
•\tDemonstrated success collaborating with clients and effectively communicating project outcomes, methodologies, and considerations to key stakeholders.
•\tSuccessful track record in independently conducting complex analyses and guiding junior team members through complex/ ambiguous issues.
All About You:
•\tIntellectual curiosity and enthusiasm to apply data to discover and solve business challenges and questions.
•\t5+ years of experience in data management, data mining, data analytics, data modeling and reporting, data product development and quantitative analysis.
•\tAdvanced SQL skills, ability to write optimized queries for large data sets.
•\tExperience on Platforms/Environments: Cloudera Hadoop, Big data technology stack, SQL Server, Microsoft BI Stack, Snowflake, and other relevant technologies.
•\tExperience on Python, Scala, Hive, Impala, Spark, Cloud data platforms Azure/AWS, and other related technologies.
•\tExperience in data pipeline creation and transformation via tools such as Databricks, Power BI Fabric, Alteryx, SSIS etc.
•\tAdvanced knowledge of any of the job scheduling tools such as Apache Airflow, NIFI, and other related tools.
•\tExperience with any one of data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI/similar tools).
•\tExperience with data validation, quality control and cleansing processes to new and existing data sources.
•\tExperience developing complex analytics applications and data consulting.
•\tFinancial Institution or a Payments experience a plus
•\tProblem solving mentality, resourcefulness and creativity in identifying solutions.
•\tStrong interpersonal skills, ability to build professional relationship, influence and negotiate.
•\tAbility to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner with both technical and non-technical customers.
•\tSoftware development life cycle experience on analytics engagements across strategy, design and implementation
Desirable Capabilities
•\tExperience with machine learning algorithms and methods is a plus.
•\tExperience with predictive analytics and optimization models is a plus.
•\tExperience with leveraging APIs.
