Senior Clinical Account Executive (Non-IC) - Express Scripts - Hybrid (Medicaid for Centene)
This is a hybrid position (3 days per week in-office + 2 days' work at home). The incumbent candidate can be based out of any US Cigna Healthcare office.This position is a Hybrid role where the Cigna policy requires office alignment but is not restricted to locations that are identified in this posting.

The Senior Clinical Account Executive role is an exciting opportunity for those looking to develop into a future people leader role of Clinical Account Executives in the PBM space. This highly talented individual will use their clinical client facing experience to make a direct impact on how we serve Centene. This position aids and supports the delivery of clinical strategy as well as developing and maintaining relationships with Centene partners that are consultative, proactive, and transparent.  This role will interface with key Centene operational and strategic leadership, bridging the gap between the delivery of strategy and the execution of that strategy. In addition, as a Sr. CAE, they will function to direct and align work in collaboration with other Centene CAEs and the broader Centene support teams. They will also serve as an informal leader amongst the teams, fostering a collaborative culture in support of solutioning for a complex, cornerstone client.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Accountable for the development and execution of a Centene specific comprehensive strategic plan.  The strategic plan reflects the ESI/client business arrangement and demonstrates a high level of consultative services (Business and Clinical)Manages and strengthens client relationships that foster joint solutioning of complex problemsMonitors and reports progress related to the Centene specific strategic plan, through formal presentations, executive level reports, etc., and ensures the timely delivery, consistency, and success of the processLeads, participates, and contributes in all client-related meetings, both external and internal.  Assists in consultations with key decision makersAids and supports the delivery of clinical strategy through the development of strong relationships with key cross functional partnersFocuses on providing thoughtful leadership within strategic planning while working on broadly impactful projectsCreates administrative and operational efficiencies within the clinical teamActively takes part in formal and informal training programs and professional development activitiesEffectively contributes to virtual teams, organizational committees, and work groups as assignedProvides oversight and management to business division, develops tools and training for conducting work plan goals, and represents the Centene division as a point of contact for various corporate initiatives including developing and implementing process improvement initiatives across the various Centene support teams and beyondWorks across internal cross functional partners to influence on behalf of internal and external needsDemonstrates clear understanding and interpretation of current industry trends and drug information

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy5+ years of experience in managed care or PBM industry preferred2+ years of experience in formulary management and rebate optimization2+ years of experience in a Clinical client facing role as a trusted advisorStrategic thinking ability and skills to prepare business plans and execute them appropriately to accomplish business objectivesAbility to work independently to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work to meet client needsStrong team orientation, commitment to sales and client service and desire to succeedWillingness to travel, as neededExcellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skillsStrong PC skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointStrong Project management skillsAbility to negotiate, lead others, organize, analyze, and interpret informationAbility to navigate complexity to synthesize and communicate clinically sound recommendationsQuick study, high energy, self-starter, approachable, and collaborativeAbility to work cross-functionally to proactively communicate and to resolve issues with the highest sense of urgencyAbility to adapt in a dynamic work environment, including pivoting to meet tight deadlines


If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 119,300 - 198,900 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
