Senior CE Project and Engineering Manager

As a **Senior Projects & Engineering Operations Manager** in the Critical Environment (CE) organization, you will play a key role in ensuring data center infrastructure availability, driving electrical safety, and leading infrastructure projects across Microsoft’s data centers in the Netherlands. You will be responsible for shaping strategy, building a high-performing and engaged team to support mission-critical operations, delivering engineering initiatives and projects, and effectively organizing and prioritizing work. In alignment with our Microsoft values, we are committed to cultivating an inclusive work environment for all employees to positively impact our culture every day. \#COICareers **Responsibilities** **Responsibilities** : + Build a culture of safety, security, and compliance, including oversight of all electrical safety and ‘ _Installation_ _Verantwoordelijke_ _’_ (IV) responsibilities. + Maximize Critical Environment (CE) availability through projects and engineeringinitiatives, ensuring efficient operations by process ownership of Microsoft Runbooks. + Shape the projects and engineeringvision and roadmap as part of the Netherlands CE Leadership Team, driving risk management and the delivery of key results. + Build high-performing, multidisciplinary project management and engineering teams in end-to-end datacenter project(budgeting, timelines, resources), improving root-cause analysis, and partnering with daily operations and maintenance execution teams. + Build strong partnerships with Engineering Groups, as well as Regional and Global Teams, to align on best practices and continuously improve datacenter performance. + Operate and excel in a highly dynamic environment by adaptabilityand ability to create structure and continuous priority setting to keep teams organized and focused. + Build a team of highly engaged individuals by fostering empowerment, energy and purpose around delivering operational excellence in a dynamic environment. Provide mentorship and coaching to support teams in solving a range of technical and organizational challenges. + Provide oversight and executive decision-making during datacenter availability incidents. + Drive and deliver initiatives focused on cost and energy efficiency. **Qualifications** Required Qualifications: + Bachelor or Master' Degree or equivalent AND relevant experience in engineering and/or operations within mission-critical environments (e.g., manufacturing, oil and gas, semiconductor, military, or managing physical operations in an IT and/or critical environment infrastructure). + Proven track record of creating structure and prioritizing work, fostering ownership and empowerment, and building a collaborative environment and a highly engaged team. + Engineering management and/or projects & program management experience. + Experience in business-critical incident response and Business Resilience Plans execution. **Background Check Requirements:** Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: + Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. While not required, we also look for the following **Preferred Qualifications** **:** + Enterprise-level experience in managing large scale and complex projects/programs AND experience in Critical Environment infrastructures (e.g., UPS, Generators, AHU) AND Experience managing budget $1M+. + Relevant experience in leading a diverse and technical team.
