This is a fully On-Site role. Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective products for treatment of vascular disease. **The Purpose** The Sr. Bioskills Lab Specialist is responsible for planning, organizing, and tissue prepping for the Bioskills Lab. Oversee regulatory compliance and process controls and ensure necessary equipment and supplies are prepared and set-up to correspond with scheduled lab activities. This position requires travel, including weekends. **The Responsibilities** + Manage, plan and organize tissue for the Bioskills Lab operations, internal and external. + Select, manage, and evaluate tissue suppliers. + Prioritize, schedule, and monitor work to optimize operational services. + Participate in the development of educational, research programs and seeks opportunities for implementation. + Conduct and operate external cadaver labs at conferences, including ensuring shipment of supplies and management of laboratory technicians for external labs. + Maintain external lab performance metrics including, but not limited to service, quality, compliance, budget targets. + Collaborate with suppliers, lab staff and vendors to schedule, prepare, and implement educational events and obtain needed supplies. + Oversee regulatory compliance and process controls, ensuring appropriate compliance per regulatory guidelines. + Supervise safety and security of lab, storage areas and equipment. + Ensure necessary equipment and supplies are prepared, set-up and turned over to correspond with lab schedule + Develop Standard Operating Procedures for the Lab, internal and external labs + Oversees proper handling of cadavers, including the arrangement of appropriate transportation, preparation and disposition. + Prepares cadavers for procedures and assists physicians during procedures, as needed. + Maintains the lab and equipment including, but not limited ensuring equipment calibration and cleanliness of the lab, equipment and instruments and having an adequate inventory of supplies on-hand. + Operate medical equipment such as C-arm fluoroscopy and ultrasound machines. + Plans, directs, creates and communicates lab activity timelines. + Gathers input from cross-functional teams and creates plans that help the team produce deliverables on schedule. + Ensures consistency of clinical labs and processes across projects. + Oversees and resolves operational aspects of the lab in conjunction with project teams and in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP) and good clinical practice (GCP). + Ensures labs are conducted within clinical lab protocols. + Monitors progress and follows up with team members and line managers when issues develop. **Required Qualifications** + Associate's degree + Minimum 5 years' experience + Experience as a Laboratory Technician or Surgical Technologist or other clinical setting preferred. + Experience handling cadaveric tissue. **Preferred Qualifications** + CTBS Certification Apply Now (https://www.jobs.abbott/us/en) **Learn more about our health and wellness benefits, which provide the security to help you and your family live full lives:** www.abbottbenefits.com (http://www.abbottbenefits.com/pages/candidate.aspx) Follow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
