Job DescriptionAssist in the review, drafting, and negotiation of contracts, agreements, and other legal documents required for project and other transaction delivery. Ensure that agreements comply with legal and company policies. Organize and maintain legal documents related to projects and transactions, ensuring they are accurately filed, up-to-date, and accessible. This includes preparing, reviewing, and archiving project legal files. Assist in identifying, assessing, and mitigating legal risks associated with project and transaction development. Provide support in the preparation of risk reports and legal assessments for internal stakeholders. Conduct legal research on a wide range of issues impacting projects and transactions, including contract law, regulatory requirements, and industry-specific legal standards. Prepare summaries and advice for senior lawyers and project teams. Support compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle. Monitor changes in the legal environment and update the project team on relevant regulatory developments. Act as a point of contact between internal teams, external counsel, and clients for legal matters related to projects and transactions. Coordinate responses and ensure that all legal queries are addressed in a timely manner. Support the senior legal team in handling project-related disputes, including drafting correspondence, preparing settlement agreements, and assisting in the management of litigation or arbitration processes. Prepare and present reports on legal matters relevant to project progress, including updates on contract status, compliance, and legal risks. Ensure all documentation is aligned with project milestones and deadlines. Contribute to the development and improvement of legal processes and tools to enhance project delivery efficiency. Identify opportunities for reducing legal risk and improving the overall legal service provided to project teams. Some travel may be required Role to be located in Visas office in Nairobi, Kenya.

QualificationsBasic Qualifications
-5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least
2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD,
MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
-Law degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience in PQE with reputable law
firm or a multinational organization
Preferred Qualifications
-6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years
of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or
up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
