What You'll Do

As a Senior Analyst – BCG Vantage within the Geopolitics & Trade Impact team of BCG's Global Advantage Practice Area, you will work in a growing global team, providing industry/functional expertise and insights whilst working together with case and proposal teams to provide knowledge assets, analysis and expert advisory. You’ll serve as a thought partner and content expert to case teams and topic/sector leaders, helping structure and solve complex issues.

You will support commercialization efforts for the topic/sector working, in conjunction with business leaders, through contributing analysis and insights to proposals, client workshops and marketing materials. Additionally, as a Senior Analyst – BCG Vantage, you will contribute to developing intellectual property & assets for the business and assist in onboarding and training junior colleagues based on your topic/sector expertise.

You will bring strong trade analytics skills, geopolitical insights, and quantitative expertise, working with leading international databases (e.g., WTIS, UN Comtrade, IHS, Oxford Economics, OECD, IMF, World Bank). A deep understanding of policies, concepts, and nomenclature related to trade and geopolitics (e.g., FTAs, DEAs, HS classifications, tariffs) is expected.

An ability to generate client-facing materials (e.g., PowerPoint slides, insights decks), offer deep insights based on trade, geopolitical and economic trends, and engage with a broad stakeholder ecosystem across Asia-Pacific markets will be critical.

Familiarity with advanced data tools and interest in leveraging AI-based analytics would be a significant advantage.

What You'll Bring

• 2+ years of consulting experience in relevant sector/topic required; candidates with consulting experience strongly preferred
• In lieu of consulting experience, 3+ years minimum industry experience required; 4-6+ years strongly preferred
• Bachelor's Degree required (advanced degree preferred)
• Minimum 3–4 years’ experience/background/interest in trade analytics and geopolitics
• Experience working on data from leading trade/macroeconomic databases (e.g., WTIS, UNComtrade, IHS, Oxford Economics, OECD, IMF/WB)
• Deep understanding of trade and geopolitical frameworks, concepts, and classification systems (FTA/DEA, HS classification, tariffs)
• Quantitative skills with experience/interest in AI usage and tools considered a significant plus
• Broad knowledge of the political, economic, social, and cultural contexts in Asia, with familiarity working across more than one APAC market
• Strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Fluency in English; proficiency in another regionally relevant language (Mandarin, Korean, Japanese, Bahasa Indonesia, or others) an advantage but not necessary
