Senior Analyst, Deal ManagementJob Title – Senior Analyst, Deal ManagementThe jobholder will support the Deal Management team Europe in the management of small issuing deals.
Role
•\tResponsible for the establishment and management of small customer business agreements
•\tEnsure through organizational planning the consistent execution of agreements by identifying and working with all required stakeholders
•\tEstablish mutually quantifiable goals that drive profitability for MasterCard and customers
•\tFully understand internal guidelines, pricing, regulatory environment, business environment and apply already established measures to drive profitability for MasterCard and customers
•\tAssist in the business case model maintenance through recurrent testing on model pricing /functional changes and updates as required
Responsibilities
•\tSupport the European Sales Team building profitable and protected deals structure for MasterCard and playing an active advisory role in business, strategic and financial related projects.
•\tPrioritize business opportunities in a fully independent way
•\tEnsure the integrity, compliance and tracking of business cases and financial models
•\tUnderstand business needs, strategies and regulatory requirements and consider them when building business cases models
•\tCo-operate with the legal department to incorporate the business case performance commitments within contracts.
•\tCo-operate with other departments (accounting, local finance) to optimize deals structure
•\tPerform detailed contract reviews to ensure full alignment with approved BC models;
•\tOrganize and provide training and advice to account teams on the business case process, financial model and its best practices and on recent regulatory guidelines;
•\tReview Business case models built by other analysts (second pair of eyes)
•\tSPOC for monthly/quarterly dashboards for Senior Executives
•\t Willingness to take up ad-hoc projects as and when there is a team requirement
Competencies
•\tAble to advise key stakeholders in traditional small business deals
•\tAble to demonstrate influencing skills and be persuasive to convince business account managers for a win-win deal proposition that is financially sound for MasterCard and meets business’/customer’s needs
•\tPossesses a natural collaborative style, and is able to work effectively and efficiently across the multiple areas and levels of the MasterCard organization in ensuring that the best thinking and assets are brought to bear in each deal
•\tDemonstrates a high degree of credibility with different stakeholders
•\tStress resistant to cope with unexpected and multiple demands
All About you:
• Chartered Accountant or MBA Finance
• Experience in financial roles, excellent financial, analytical, and communication skills
•\tExperience in customer-facing roles in an asset
•\tSelf-motivated, enthusiastic
•\tProactive and able to work well independently and in teams
•\tEye for details but also capacity to have an helicopter view, to compare and leverage experiences across countries;
•\tGood organizational skills, ability to deliver within agreed deadlines, to act with sense of urgency and prioritize tasks
•\tExcellent inter-personal communication skills and ability to adapt to multicultural environments
•\tProcess minded with strong analytical skills
•\tAbility to summarize, to identify key elements, to provide short and comprehensive information useful for the approval
