The Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in Helsinki. In this role, you will support our commercial operations mainly in Finland, but also in the other Nordic countries. You will work alongside the Finance Manager and Payroll Accountant in Helsinki and with the wider Finance team on multiple internal projects across the Nordics.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Supporting accounting functions on a Nordic level, with a focus on Finland.

Working with monthly/annual accounting and tax-related processes, including PTP processes and VAT & tax reports for entities in Finland.

Supporting the preparation of annual reports for entities in Finland.

Being highly involved in external and internal audits, including preparing audit materials and responding to further requests/questions.

Acting as the link between business and other corporate finance functions together with the Nordic Finance team.

Supporting and managing multiple projects across the region.

Handling ad hoc reporting and other finance-related tasks for internal and external stakeholders.

Supporting other Nordic countries on various finance tasks based on organizational needs.

Your Profile:

Degree in finance and/or business administration.

3+ years of experience in an equivalent role.

Up-to-date knowledge of accounting-related legislation in Finland; knowledge of other Nordic countries is a plus.

Previous work experience in a matrix and multicultural work environment with multiple stakeholders across multiple countries.

Fluency in Finnish and English; other Scandinavian languages are considered an advantage.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Previous work experience with the following systems is preferred but not required: Rillion, Concur, SharePoint, OneSource, MS 365 package (especially Excel), and SAP.
