Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced payments professional to join the UK Issuers team, to support the management of Visa’s strategic relationship with a Key Client in the UK, own and manage the relationship with Tier 2 Client(s) & win new business for Visa for new business targets under your management. In this role as Senior Manager, Senior Account Executive, you will be focused on building deep partnerships with the Clients you support, executing on a clear plan to continue the ongoing evolution of our relationships.
The individual will focus on developing Visa’s position with the supported Clients, focused on growing our business within the Clients: broadening our relationship beyond core payments, diversification of revenue for Visa, and building innovative new propositions for the Client’s end customers.
What we expect of you, day to day:
Own the design, build and delivery of our strategy within specific Key Client verticals, expected initially to be Non Card and Commercial. Utilise this strategy to establish deep Client relationships, releasing mutual growth, benefit and revenue.Own every aspect of Visa’s relationship for the Tier 2 Client(s) in your ownership, leading on all day-to-day interactions, engaging across multiple levels within Visa and the Client.Lead on business development for new business Client targets, understanding the Client’s needs, building propositions to position Visa as the primary choice, and bringing the business into Visa’s management.Work alongside your Clients, liaising with multiple stakeholders with the aim of growing the business through collaboration, building high quality relationships.Meet and exceed relevant scorecard targets for the client relationship with regards to your ownership of areas, delivering net revenue across core, value added services and commercial & money-movement solutions.Lead teams of cross-functional colleagues ensuring key stakeholders across product, marketing, client services and consulting are appropriately involved and supporting client development.Identify client opportunities for new products/services enabling business improvement and growth in line with the client’s business objectives and priorities.Identify opportunities and engage with Visa subject matter experts to provide the client with thought leadership on payment industry trends and innovation.Demonstrate expert knowledge of all Visa products and services, to identify opportunities aligned to client’s requirements.Manage contractual budgets, investing in initiatives that have mutual benefit to the client’s and Visa’s business priorities (e.g. adoption of new Visa capabilities, penetration of value-added services)This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
QualificationsAn experienced, results-oriented account executive with more than 10 years’ experience in financial services or an enterprise sales role.Has a proven track record of managing complex clients, developing and delivering on strategic plans to grow a business.Extensive sales experience, with proven influencing, selling and negotiation skills.Curiosity and pragmatism, with the aptitude to identify new opportunities and proactively propose solutions, being able to handle objections and navigate successful outcomes.Strong commercial acumen with understanding and experience of credit cards portfolio management, credibility in the payments market, and experience of driving P&L growth.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders up to Executive Level, especially in a matrixed environment.Strong commercial awareness/understanding, with the ability to identify opportunities and propose solutions.Ability to prioritise and manage multiple work-streams simultaneously, meeting set deadlines.Be a self-starter, with the ability to network, think and act independently, with a collaborative mindset.This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site).
