As a Seed Treatment Compliance Lead, you play a crucial role in ensuring our compliance with laws and regulations while supporting business continuity and strategic growth. In this position, you are responsible for identifying and interpreting key regulatory decisions on legislation of Vegetable and Flowers seed treatments, advising various departments on potential consequences, and liaising with regulatory authorities and industry associations.
Your Challenge:
In this global role, you are responsible for monitoring and interpreting regulatory changes in seed treatment legislation and translating them into business solutions. As an experienced professional, you will provide expert regulatory and stewardship advice across the organization and represent Syngenta in relevant seed association working groups.
Your main tasks include:
Proactively monitoring developments in seed treatment regulations, including changes in registrations, derogations, and local permitsConsulting with internal and external legal and regulatory authorities to ensure correct interpretation and decision-making regarding compliance and freedom to operateServing as the first point of contact for Research and Development, Production and Supply, Marketing and Sales, and Vegetable Seeds Team regarding technical compliance of Vegetable and Flower seed operations to seed treatment regulationsRepresenting Syngenta vegetables in relevant seed association working groups and providing expert judgment on regulatory and compliance-related topicsAdvising on phytosanitary requirements for seed movement especially pertaining to seed treatments and active ingredient requirements.Coordinating Syngenta's compliance with EU PIC legislation and derogation process for vegetable and flowers seedsDeveloping and maintaining a seed treatment database to create transparency on approved seed treatments by crop for origin and destinationIn this role, you bring not only your technical expertise but also your ability to navigate a dynamic work environment, deliver quality with speed, and communicate effectively with various stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Qualifications
Your Profile:
To be successful in this role, you have:
Advanced degree in international trade, supply chain management, or similar field is preferred, but a bachelor’s degree with equivalent experience will also be considered.3-5 years of relevant experience in seed treatment or phytosanitary regulationsIn-depth knowledge of regulations governing plant protection products in countries where Syngenta's vegetable and flowers businesses operateUnderstanding of regional and global plant protection products and seed movement legislationsExpertise in P&S needs and the business impact of changes in Plant Protection Product RegulationsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with international regulators and business leadersBroad knowledge of business processes related to international seed movement and seed treatmentBasic understanding of the technical processes of Vegetable and flowers seed treatmentsFluency in English; Dutch speaking ability is a bonusAdditional Information
