Seed National Agronomy Leader
The Seed National Agronomy Leader main responsibility is the following: (1) Driving the product evaluation and advancement process to ensure portfolio competitiveness; and (2) Ensuring readiness of the Agronomy Team in providing commercial support and agronomic services through preparation of fit-for-market package of technology, translating technical data into marketing and sales tools and messages, and in building the techno-commercial competency of the field team, among others. **Key Deliverables** **1. Product concept and segmentation** • Within the cross-functional Portfolio Management Team, co-lead with Marketing the preparation of the product concept per crop segment and in finalizing the advancement criteria **2. Product evaluation and advancement** • Prepare the Seasonal Agronomy Testing Plan aligned w/ territory plan • Preparation of standard protocol and incorporation of best practices in trial design and execution, hybrid evaluation • Proper data gathering and analytics • Proper tracking of E2E processes, particularly the steps where agronomy is involved – Hybrid volume requirements, R&D sample handovers, Variety Registration, Sample demand forecast **3. Sampling, Positioning, Value Demonstration** • Sampling plan preparation for new launch in coordination with marketing for market insights generation to validate positioning • Generate customer insights on crop/product usage to develop key agronomy interventions for product differentiation and product positioning • Align hybrid plan and positioning with execution on ground • Package of technology for value demonstration • Inputs to preparation of sales and marketing tools and communication materials **4.** **Portfolio effectiveness** , including benchmarking and product gaps and fills plan. **5** . **Building capability** – product knowledge, practices, positioning, value demo • Field Team Competency Building • Agronomy Team Competency Building **Qualifications:** **Educational Background** : + A bachelor's degree in agronomy, agriculture, crop science, or a related field is essential **Experience** : + Minimal 10 years of experience in agricultural management or a related field. + Practical experience in crop production, soil science, and pest management is highly valued **Skills and Knowledge** : + Strong understanding of plant physiology, soil science, and crop management practices + Knowledge of sustainable farming practices and advancements in agronomy + Leadership and team management skills to oversee agricultural operations and staff **Responsibilities** : + Overseeing daily operations of crop production, including planting, irrigation, and harvesting + Developing and implementing crop management plans to ensure maximum yield + Conducting soil and plant tests and interpreting the results + Ensuring compliance with agricultural regulations and safety standards Corteva Agriscience™ is an equal opportunity employer.
