\n\nWe are currently hiring a qualifiedSecurity Specialistat our CVG HUB, located in Erlanger, KY. Asa Security Specialistyou will develop and administer policies and programs to ensure all facilities have effective company security procedures and techniques. As well as, oversee proper emergency evacuation procedures, training, and implement policies for access control for the DHL Super Hub in addition to DHL facilities. In addition you will act as a liaison with law enforcement officials and ensure security of all company property, employees, and visitors.
\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nRoutinely exercises independent discretion and judgment regarding significant company matters.\nInvestigates theft, fire and sabotage by employees, customers or other personnel.\nProvides technical expertise and knowledge in compliance with the regulations of regulatory agencies such as the FAA, TSA, Homeland Security and U.S. Customs.\nPrepare and present training classes and informative instructions to U.S. employees. \nManages and ensures compliance for the (CCSP) Certified Cargo Screening Program.\nEnsures all material destined to transit on a passenger aircraft is X-Rayed as per CCSP regulations.\nEstablishes contingencies that ensures 100% capture of freight required for X-Ray on a nightly basis, and ensures the CCSF (Certified Cargo Screening Facility) screening team is meeting all training and documentation requirements.\nResponsible for working effectively with our security vendors to ensure the CVG Super-Hub maintains TSA security compliance protocols and ensure all positions are covered by trained personnel.\nWorks in conjunction with HR and Ops leaders to address security issues that arise while on duty.\nDeals with reactive situations along with developing proactive security programs\nServes as consultant to management on major matters pertaining to policies, plans, and objectives\nMay lead others in developing innovative solutions to important, highly complex strategic and operating problems; cross-department considerations are often present\nSkills & Qualifications:
\n\nTypically requires BS/BA in related discipline and 8-11 years’ experience in related field or MS/MA, and generally 5-7 years’ experience in related field.\nProfessional certification required in some areas\nPM work hours, typically range from 10PM – 7am, with adaptations to 24/7 calls and the ability to respond in short notice.\nApproximately 10-20% of travel required\nRequires creative and innovative thinking in bringing successful resolution to high-impact, complex, and/or cross-department problems\nLight work (exerting up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally, and up to 10 lbs. of force frequently and or a small amount of force constantly to move objects)\nEmployee must be able to perform all essential functions, with or without accommodation\nState-of-the-art knowledge of technologies, processes, and practices.\n\n\nDHL is an equal opportunity employer.
