**Your day at NTT DATA**
The Security Managed Services Engineer (L3) is a seasoned engineering role, responsible for providing a managed service to clients by proactively identifying and resolving technical incidents and problems, applying processes and procedures, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills to perform complex duties related to vulnerability scanning, analysis and evaluating client IT environment. Responsibilities include triaging, analyzing, reporting, and offering/implementing mitigation steps as issues arise.
Through pre-emptive service incident and resolution activities, as well as product reviews, operational improvements, operational practices, and quality assurance this role will maintain a high level of service to clients.
The primary objective of this role is to ensure zero missed service level agreement (SLA) conditions and is responsible for managing tickets of high complexity, conducts advanced and complicated tasks, aware of client's high level and low-level security architecture and provides resolution to a diverse range of complex problems.
This position uses considerable judgment and independent analysis within defined policies and practices and applies analytical thinking and deep technical expertise in achieving client outcomes, while coaching and mentoring junior team members across functions.
The Security Managed Services Engineer (L3) may also contribute to / support on project work as and when required.
**What you'll be doing**
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Perform advanced tasks and duties for vulnerability management, including analyzing and reviewing vulnerability data to identify trends and patterns, and linking client assets to correlate vulnerability data.
+ Validate existing controls and perform compensating controls analysis.
+ Support the Vulnerability Management Lifecycle, including setup, configuration, and scanning of client environments; identifying, reporting, and offering mitigation steps; and performing necessary change control and security exceptions.
+ Provide specialist understanding and capability in Qualys, Tenable, and Nexpose, and offer security mitigation.
+ Perform necessary checks, apply monitoring tools, and respond to alerts.
+ Identify problems and errors prior to or when they occur and log all such incidents in a timely manner with the required level of detail.
+ Assist in analyzing, assigning, and escalating support calls.
+ Investigate third-line support calls assigned and identify the root cause of incidents and problems.
+ Report and escalate issues to third-party vendors if necessary.
+ Provide continuous feedback to clients and affected parties, and update all systems and/or portals as prescribed by the company.
+ Proactively identify opportunities for work optimization, including opportunities for automation of work.
+ Coach L2 teams for advanced technical troubleshooting and behavioral skills.
+ Manage and implement projects within the technology domain, delivering effectively and promptly per client-agreed requirements and timelines.
+ Implement and deliver Disaster Recovery functions and tests.
+ Perform any other related tasks as required.

**Academic Qualifications and Certifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in IT/Computing (or demonstrated equivalent work experience)
+ ITIL certification
+ Qualys Certified
+ Relevant certifications depending on technology domain expertise such as (but not limited to) · CompTIA Security+ or higher , CEH, PNPT, Security+, CYSA+.
**Required Experience:**
+ 5+ years of work experience as a security analyst/engineer in a Vulnerability Management position, preferably in a Managed Services environment.
+ Experience with configuration, security posture, troubleshooting, and maintenance using tools such as Qualys, Tenable, and Nexpose.
+ Excellent troubleshooting and remediation skills in vulnerability/security issues, including the development of remediation plans and techniques.
+ Proficient in using a ticketing system with excellent documentation skills and a drive to complete tasks on the first touch when possible.
+ Excellent written and spoken fluency in English.
+ Able to work and interact within a global organization.
+ Seasoned experience handling complex Security Infrastructure and working within a medium to large ICT organization.
+ Seasoned working knowledge of ITIL processes.
+ Seasoned experience working with vendors and/or third parties.
+ Penetration testing skills will be an advantage.
