Second Cook
Inspire and create the grandest experience for our guest, clients and colleagues every day. Create cutting edge and high dishes for our food and beverage outlets and banquets. Create for yourself a career and develop within a world class hotel operation.

Ensure the consistency in the preparation and execution of all food items according to the hotel recipes and standards. Ensue we are producing and serving the best possible product to our guests and colleagues.Producing the best and consistent hot & cold food and beverages served in the staff cafeteria. Have full knowledge of all menu items, including ingredients and allergies.Assist and support other kitchen areas and fellow colleagues as needed.Maintains a safe and clean work environment and ensures that all Health & Safety standards are met, procedures followed and has the knowledge and tools to work safely.Maintain awareness of and ensuring compliance with all food safety & hygiene policies and procedures (as outlined by the EHC manual) are followed at all times.Completes all EHC temperature records, honestly and correctly (as outlined by the EHC manual).Cleaning of kitchen equipment including line fridges.Maintain awareness of and ensuring compliance with all sustainability and food waste reduction/diversion policies, procedures and programs at the hotel.Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear direction to all hotel colleagues & leaders.Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

2 years of kitchen experience, preferably in hotel operationExperience with hot and cold food prep, grill, fryer, or oven stationsAble to work in a fast-paced, high-volume KitchenFlexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidaysUnderstanding of kitchen operations, health and safety regulationsComfortable working with guests in a public areaEnergetic, self-motivated, out-going, team-player

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.Must be able to stand for long periods of time (for up to 8 hours).
