We are recruiting for a SCPR Scientist to join us, to be a part of the sensory team, that supports product testing for the business.
The team acts as a partner to RD&A, Marketing and Innovation Teams to help deliver the best tasting products and be our customer’s most valued partner in the world of sustainable nutrition.
The successful candidate will work closely with R&D, Marketing and Innovation Teams to advise on appropriate sensory and consumer approach in projects.
Key responsibilities Monitor the pipeline of projects in the Savoury Foods categories and effectively prioritise the workload. Design research methods to address the challenges within the category, conduct the data collection, analysis of results and report back to relevant stakeholders. Contribute to capabilities development for Europe region by reviewing current ways of working and implementing new methods. Provide sensory training to RD&A colleagues to maintain disciplined evaluation culture Monitor the international standards and articles, to keep up to date with technical developments. Demonstrate good networking skills and effectively building relationships with a range of stakeholders. Qualifications and skills Bachelor or Master’s degree in Food Science or other related course. Experience in a Sensory & Consumer Science roles, ideally in FMCG role Experience in managing high volume of projects, at various stages of product development. Managing multiple stakeholders and prioritising workload skills are essential Understanding of applied statistical analysis Knowledge of sensory research methodologies - Descriptive Profiling, Discrimination Testing, Napping and Temporal Methods Knowledge of consumer research methods – quantitative and qualitative research Shows initiative in the team and takes ownership of projects. Displays confidence, energises, and inspires others. Acts in a way that is both trustworthy and trusting, champions the values of the organisation and challenges unacceptable behaviours. Is open-minded and agile in the way of working. Effective at storytelling - can connect the science and business to make an impact. Is organised and has ability to prioritise and schedule work to meet demands.
