The ideal candidate will be an accomplished electrophysiologist with a published track record studying the role of ion-channels in taste transduction. Our collaborative approach and commitment to excellence make us a trusted partner for our customers worldwide. **Key Responsibilities:** • Conduct cutting-edge research to expand our understanding of ion-channels and receptors involved in human taste and trigeminal perception. • Perform electrophysiology and image-based assays to study the pharmacology and function of ion channels and receptors. • Develop cell lines and novel cell-based assays to support receptor high-throughput screening (HTS) operations. • Foster a problem-solving mindset and devise innovative approaches to research challenges. • Maintain up-to-date awareness of relevant knowledge and technologies • Write manuscripts of scientific results and submit for publication in top-rated, peer-reviewed journals, patent applications, and/or internal company reports. Hands-on experience with high-throughput electrophysiology platforms a plus. • Experience screening for modulators of ion-channels and determining mechanisms of action (MOA). • Proficiency in biochemical, molecular, and cellular biology techniques relevant to assay development, implementation, and high-throughput screening (HTS) approaches. • Excellent team spirit, communication skills and networking capacity in a multidisciplinary environment. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education and training.
