Job Title: General Manager, Software Applications Sales (SaaS & On-Premise)
Job Summary:
The General Manager will lead the strategic direction and execution of sales for SaaS and On-Premise software solutions. This role requires a seasoned leader with a strong background in software sales, proven success in revenue growth, and the ability to manage high-performing global teams. The ideal candidate combines strategic vision, deep domain expertise, and a track record of scaling complex sales organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership Define and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets across SaaS and On-Premise offerings. Monitor market trends and customer needs to drive growth initiatives. Align sales plans with product roadmaps and marketing strategies. Sales Management Lead, mentor, and scale global sales teams to exceed quotas and KPIs. Implement best-in-class sales processes and methodologies (e.g., MEDDIC, Challenger). Foster a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement. Product & Market Expertise Maintain deep knowledge of subscription-based SaaS and licensed On-Premise models. Communicate value propositions and ROI effectively to key stakeholders. Customer Engagement Build and manage relationships with enterprise clients and strategic accounts. Oversee complex deal negotiations and resolve escalations. Support customer success in coordination with onboarding and support teams. Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with Product to incorporate market feedback into development. Partner with Finance for pricing, deal structuring, and forecasting. Work closely with Marketing to drive lead generation and brand positioning. Growth & Innovation Identify new markets, partnerships, and upsell opportunities. Lead international expansion, adapting strategies to regional needs. Reporting & Analytics Deliver performance insights and forecasts to executive leadership. Use CRM and analytics tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to optimize sales strategies.Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or related field; MBA preferred. Experience: 20+ years in software sales, including 5+ years in executive leadership. Demonstrated success in both SaaS and On-Premise environments. Experience managing large-scale P&Ls and global teams. Skills: Strategic mindset with strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Expertise in CRM and sales analytics platforms.Preferred:
Industry experience in sectors such as healthcare, finance, or retail. Background in scaling sales operations within high-growth or global organizations.
