Job Title/ Designation:- Business Development Manager – Government Business
Base Location:- Gurgaon
Responsibility:-
Liasoning and driving business with central government and state governments across India. Identifying prospective clients, mapping requirements and developing potential clients in the segment of central and state governments. Represent organization’s capabilities and value proposal to the customers. Preparation of RFP/RFQ as per Government requirement and bidding for new government projects. Identification and development of business opportunities across India for various Smart City projects. Gain mindshare and maintain relationships at the apex decision-making levels (Ministers, Secretaries and State Project Directors (SPDs) with various State Governments. Identifying target markets and qualifying eligible opportunities, providing a consultative and value added approach to develop relationships by winning new contracts and orders through prospecting and developing new customer relationships. Negotiating contractual terms and conditions, and working with the solutions/operations/implementation teams to ensure smooth handoffs. Relationship building with new and existing clients and liasoning with implementation and development team to fulfill commitments of client. Providing marketing inputs for product sales and collecting market information on products. Ensure adherence to payment collection/outstanding system. Managing registration work of all the products including suggestion in the existing specifications of product category in GeM portal. Product Category creation in GeM for products. Handling queries from Resellers/Partners all across the country w.r.t. products listed in GeM, Re-seller authorization in GeM, product pairing, Competition Comparisons of our GeM registered products. Support Re-sellers & partners on uploading & managing GeM Bids/RA & Purchase requisitions. Ensure Partner interests are secured in respective regions. Ensure market price is uniform for all products uploaded by re-sellers and manage partners who manipulate pricing and stocks on GeM. Monitoring all the updates, news, new product categories, and upcoming product categories & meetings information in GeM. Support sales team for any GeM related issues, queries, documentation, price information etc. Liasioning with GeM officials for all the GeM activities related to the products. Staying current on competitive analyses and understanding differentiators between the company and its competitors.
Domain Khowledge:-
Understanding of latest technology in the respective verticals especially display technology Extensive knowledge of Central and State governments Hands on understanding of Government procurement in the country. Expertise in Tender preparation, RFQ, RFI, RFP response and BID preparation Skilled in key account management & relationship management
