About this opportunity:

Business Area Cloud Software & Services (BCSS) was created to capitalize on convergence of cloud software and services. As our customers deploy open 5G networks, we accelerate the optimization and automation of increasingly complex networks by transforming them into cloud-native software and services across the 4G/5G mobile core, network management, orchestration and analytics, operations and business support systems (OSS/BSS).

This sales leader will be e2e responsible for the O-RAN compliant Service Management and Orchestration (SMO) while contributing to other areas including 4G/5G core and the Exposure Portfolio (SCEF/NEF). Boasting open, multi-vendor interfaces to the RAN, the Ericsson Intelligent Controller platform can host both Ericsson and 3rd party RAN applications (rApps), providing the ability for operators to launch innovative AI/ML driven use cases.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a strong ability to lead change, encourage, innovate, work towards efficiency, automation, and digitalization, collaborate, be outcome-oriented, a problem-solver in a highly fast-paced, geographically diverse matrix organization working with the latest technologies in telecom networks.

 

 

What you will do:

Lead new business development focused on the O-RAN SMO landscape, EIC and rApps. Other assignments could include Exposure and aspects of 4G/5G Packet core.Take the lead role in the strategy and execution of positioning and selling (products and services).Strengthen customer relationships with Verizon network planning executives by addressing their needs and challenges with our solutions and services.Have overarching responsibilities on commercial dimension in the respective account aligned with Business Area directives.Drive improved customer roadmap and attack planning, including increasing upsell effort.Complete customer lifecycle sales responsibility, including continuous upselling and cross-selling.Encourage and inspire team members across various departments and functions to collaborate and strive towards attaining successful sales results as One Ericsson.

 

The skills you bring:

Shown and established relationships with Executives (VP, C Level)Deep knowledge and experience of network performance, SON, RAN technology and AI/ML and software sales and delivery models (10+ years experience)Consultative selling: Ability to identify and translate customer needs into appropriate solutions and negotiate win-win agreements with clients.Value argumentation: Ability to articulate value to C-level audiences, provide tangible benefits and reference cases, and apply appropriate commercial models.Proactive & data-driven sales: Ability to acquire insights from analyzing operator architecture and industry data, identify business opportunities to engage with customers pre-RFP stage.Understanding industry trends in programmable networks, AI/ML and the O-RAN management plane.Proven track record of success in sales and business development.Proven track record of successfully achieving results in a sophisticated cross-functional organization.University degree in Engineering and or ICT

Your Pay
The salary range for this position is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

 

The salary range for this position is

•                 New Jersey: $158,400.00 - $207,900.00

 

Sales Incentive Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for sales incentives as a part of Ericsson’s Sales Incentive Plan. Actual payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit’s objectives, individual performance, and the individual incentive target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Employees will receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost that Ericsson pays toward the cost of their medical and dental premiums for themselves and eligible covered dependents.

 

Your Financial Security

We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. The Ericsson US 401(k) Plan offers an automatic 3% company contribution and Ericsson matches $1 for every $1 you put into the 401(k) Plan on the first 3% of your eligible pay, plus 50 cents on every $1 on the next 2% of eligible pay. When you contribute at least 5% of eligible pay, you are receiving Ericsson’s full matching contributions. Matching and company automatic contributions stop when your total eligible pay for the year reaches the IRS limits. Employees will also receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage, as well as short-term and long-term disability coverage. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson’s Stock Purchase Plan.

 

Your Time
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 15 days of accrued vacation, up to 3 personal days per year, 11 annual holidays, 8 hours of volunteer time, and 80 hours of sick time annually. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee’s start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
