The Scrum Master drives their team’s preparation for PI Planning as well as the resultant execution of their commitments. The Scrum Master creates an environment that empowers and energizes team members, with a focus on accountability, adaptability, and collaboration in program activity planning and execution._ **Position's General Duties and Tasks:** + _Holds teams accountable for delivery, continuous improvement, and staying true to values._ + _Makes work visible and removes impediments encountered by the team, ensuring the team is as productive as possible._ + _Facilitates and owns team ceremonies, such as Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective._ + _Prepares team for and facilitates team breakouts during PI Planning_ + _Ensures team readiness for System Demos and Inspect & Adapt sessions._ + _Facilitates coordination with external dependent teams._ + _Enables delivery and product team to be ready for Sprint and Program Increment planning._ + _Mentors the Product Owner and team in best practices related to user story creation, prioritization and Product Backlog refinement ensuring the team focuses on technical needs, including improvements to testing and deployment processes._ + _Collects and utilizes data and team metrics to demonstrate team capacity, velocity, predictability, & maturity._ + _Coaches teams new to Agile and Scrum on mindset and fundamentals._ + _Collaborates with other Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches to contribute to the improvement of Agile practices within the organization, including through Communities of Practice._ + _Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments; work is performed without direction._ **Qualifications** **Must have Skills:** + _5+ years as a Scrum Master_ + _7+ years of experience working with agile methodologies on large scale, technically complex environments_ + _Experience coaching and mentoring others_ + _Proven ability to facilitate the removal of impediments_ + _Excellent communication skills_ + _Advanced facilitation, presentation, influence, and relationship management skills_ + _Validated agile learning/credentials such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), IC Agile Team Facilitator (ATF), SAFe Agilist, or SAFe Scrum Master_ + _Experience with Agile Tracking tools (agile lifecycle management tools); preference for Azure DevOps (ADO)_ **Preferred Skills:** + _Experience working with Cyber Security teams_ + _Experience working with both development and non-development scrum teams_ + _Experience as a scrum master in a Scaled Agile (SAFe, LESS, etc.) environment_ + _Advanced certification such as Certified Scrum Professional or SAFe Practice Consultant_ + _Experience with Portfolio Tools such as ServiceNow or Jira Align_ **Education Requirements** _Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field_ **About NTT DATA Services** NTT DATA Services is a global business and IT services provider specializing in digital, cloud and automation across a comprehensive portfolio of consulting, applications, infrastructure, and business process services.
