About this opportunity:  

We are now looking for the Standards & Industry Initiatives Americas reporting to Head of Standard and Industry Initiatives at Group Function Technology and being part of the unit’s leadership team. 


The unit Standard & Industry Initiatives overall purpose and mission is to create industrial scale & business foundations for Ericsson’s product offerings through standardization, regulation, and industry alignment initiatives.
The unit is the focal point for all standardization activities across Ericsson, along with technical regulation and spectrum associated activities. 

Overall strategy for Standardization, Technical regulation and SpectrumGlobal alignment of time-plan, standardization, technical regulation and spectrum for important industry deliverables, e.g. 5G, and 6GCompetence and resource build-up to fulfil Standardization, technical regulation and spectrum strategyInitiate and take leadership position in external fora and Industry alliances

 

As the leader of the Standards & Industry Initiatives in the Americas region within Standard & Industry Initiatives, you have an Ericsson group wide responsibility to coordinate and drive the relevant questions towards regional standardization and regulatory bodies in the region. 

You will be part of a global team that by collaborating with business areas, market areas and other group functions ensures a consistent Ericsson position and messages towards the international, regional and national regulatory bodies. Examples of international and regional regulatory bodies are ITU, IEC, ISO, ATIS, ANSI and CITEL.

 

What you'll do:

Ensuring that "right" spectrum is "identified" to be possible to be used by the right technology in the Americas Region, harmonized with the different regions/countries of the worldEnsuring that the conditions and criteria for co-existence between technologies in-band and out-band is favorable for Ericsson´s products in the Americas RegionEnsuring that technology regulations in the region are harmonized with the global regulations and favorable for Ericsson´s products, e.g. safety and security regulationsSecuring Ericsson participation and lobbying for key standardization, open source and regulatory organizations dealing with Standards and/or Industry Initiatives in the Americas Region

 

You will also be a part of the Standard and Industry Initiatives leadership team responsible for driving all standardization activities and collaborating with the other units of Group Function Technology. 


Skills you'll bring:

MSc degree or BSc with proven experience10+ years of experience in ICT industry with proven track record in standards or regulatory related projects and development Previous leadership experience requiredStrong knowledge of Ericsson products portfolio and deep understanding of ICT industry trendsComprehensive understanding of the customer´s and competitor´s business, operations and objectives in order to achieve targets in the mid and long termProven experience in strategic planning, tactical planning, business and project managementStrong listening, communications and presentation skillsSupervising and responding to challenges and changes in a high pace environmentExperience of engaging and negotiating with senior executives, and other senior leaders within and outside EricssonTeam players with ability to partner cross EricssonCompensation and Benefits at Ericsson

Available work location for this position is US Remote.

Your Pay
The salary range for this position is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

 

The salary range for this position is:

Washington State, Washington D.C., New York, and New Jersey: $215,600 -  $282,975California: $235,600 - $309,225All other US locations:  $199,600 -  $261,975
 

 

Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit’s objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Employees will receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost that Ericsson pays toward the cost of their medical and dental premiums for themselves and eligible covered dependents.

 

Your Financial Security

We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. The Ericsson US 401(k) Plan offers an automatic 3% company contribution and Ericsson matches $1 for every $1 you put into the 401(k) Plan on the first 3% of your eligible pay, plus 50 cents on every $1 on the next 2% of eligible pay. When you contribute at least 5% of eligible pay, you are receiving Ericsson’s full matching contributions. Matching and company automatic contributions stop when your total eligible pay for the year reaches the IRS limits. Employees will also receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage, as well as short-term and long-term disability coverage. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson’s Stock Purchase Plan.

 

Your Time
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 15 days of accrued vacation, up to 3 personal days per year, 11 annual holidays, 8 hours of volunteer time, and 80 hours of sick time annually. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee’s start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
