Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced and dedicated S/4HANA Deploy Expert – FI to lead the deployment of Financial Accounting (FI) processes within SAP S/4HANA projects. The role focuses on ensuring alignment with the central SAP S/4HANA template, managing project-specific business requirements (BRs), and serving as the main point of contact between DCCs (Deploy Chapter Champions) and the project teams for all FI-related topics.
This role is critical to ensuring the successful adoption of S/4HANA finance processes across various rollouts, with consistent application of global standards and attention to legal or compliance deviations.
Key Responsibilities
1. FI Process Deployment
Lead the deployment of all core FI processes (e.g., General Ledger, Asset Accounting, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Tax) in line with the global SAP S/4HANA template.Ensure compliance with central guidelines, while supporting country teams in identifying and documenting legal requirements and deviations.Support end-to-end process standardization and integration across related modules (e.g., CO, MM, SD).2. Central Interface Between Project & DCCs
Act as the primary contact between the DCCs and the deployment project team.Provide guidance and coordination to ensure all open points, questions, and escalations related to FI are properly addressed.Align closely with central teams and other Deploy Experts to ensure cross-domain consistency.3. BR Follow-up & Template Governance
Ensure all deviations and gaps identified during Fit-to-Standard workshops are correctly documented.Follow up on Business Requirements (BRs) to ensure timely creation, validation, and submission for Design & Build implementation.Monitor the completion status of deviations in Azure Boards and support teams in ensuring BRs meet quality expectations.4. Testing, Migration & Go-Live
Support preparation and execution of integration and user acceptance testing for FI topics.Validate data migration results (GL balances, open items, asset values, tax data, etc.) for accuracy and completeness.Provide hands-on support during cutover, go-live, and hypercare, addressing any finance-related defects or process gaps.5. Cross-functional Collaboration
Collaborate with CO, SD, MM, and technical teams to ensure smooth integration and alignment of finance postings.Support stakeholder communication and status reporting for all FI topics.QualificationsEducation:
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Informatics, or related field.Knowledge and Skills:
Strong expertise in SAP FI (GL, AR, AP, AA, Tax) within an S/4HANA environment.Solid understanding of E2E finance processes, integration with logistics modules, and financial reporting needs.Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA best practices, including Central Finance and Universal Journal concepts.Experience with Fit-to-Standard methodology and Azure Boards for issue tracking and BR documentation.Ability to interpret legal or regulatory requirements and translate them into compliant system solutions.Personality Traits:
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple rollouts in parallel.Clear communicator and effective at cross-functional coordination.Proactive, structured, and focused on driving solutions forward.Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.Travel Requirement:
